    I really like this learning technique. I never thought to counter lean my upper body to get my knee to touch since obviously everyone who does it is leaning into the turn for _less_ lean angle because they're flying. This is perfect for normal road speeds to get used to the knee hitting. I counter lean to turn at slow speed of course but never thought to combine that with a buttcheek off and knee down at the same time. Genius way to learn! Another tip I've heard that works well for me is putting weight on the outside foot peg in turns (whether leaning or counter leaning). It feels better and helps keep the bike upright if you hit a bump or something in the corner

    Foot position is the ball of your feet is on the pegs, body position as low and off the side of the bike as possible. The whole point is to reduce the lean angle of the bike so you can corner faster by maximizing grip, using your knee as a guide to how much farther you can lean the bike before sliding out. At the highest levels in MotoGP they can even recover from sliding the rear out by literally pushing the bike off the ground with there elbow and knee. Incredible

      True! It‘s insane
      If you tell a noob to learn it this way, they never get the knee down and it‘s very dangerous with super high speeds so I do it this way and you can go the correct way afterwards 👌

    • @jackdavis7651
      @jackdavis7651 7 місяців тому

      I've got to ask, as a noob myself, why increase the lean angle? It seems counter intuitive. As the whole point of hanging off the bike is to reduce the lean angle? Knee down is just a byproduct? I still haven't got my knee down yet, my local Twisties require over 60mph to lean the bike enough if your hanging off 😂. I'm going to practise on a large roundabout soon just so I can get the feeling of it. I'm only 5ft 8 so I think I have to be leaned almost max for my knee to hit the deck

    I want to try the knee down but i always fear to over do it and just fall! Plus i have the "engine cage" i think its the same as u have, and i always think that it will touch the ground and make me fall. These tips had defently inspired me to go and actually try it
    But Unfortunatly ill have to wait, bike is having white smoke issues, and it is very very wierd 🤷

    I think peg and body position on nakeds are not good to try to touch with the knee cause it is difficult to extend the leg and as you say it is easier if your upper body position is not right otherwise your hip is bent... So of course you shouldn't try to touch on the road and probably not on track either cause in order to do that you won't have a good upper body position for something that's not really necessary, most people would prepare a lot, sacrifice upper body position, and go overall slower just to touch. With a naked on track with good tires your pegs can scrap the tarmac and maybe your knee is still not there if your upper body is ok.

    Hi, thanks for the tips! I have just one question, i would like to record audio like you but i don't know how xD. If is not a problem for you could you make a video or just explain how you edit the raw audio ? thank you so much !!

    • @BRAAAPP
      @BRAAAPP  10 місяців тому +1

      It's mainly a nice EQ in post production and you have to record it clean in order to work as well, like the recorder needs to be pretty much free and not obstructed by bags and stuff

    Wie findest du knee down bei der Duke mit dem Original Reifen? Ist der Dunlop immernoch dein Lieblingsreifen für die Duke?

  • @edenswe1875
    @edenswe1875 10 місяців тому +1

    Servus, kann man des ganze auch mit ner 125er Sportler machen? Hab nur Angst dass Ich bei mir zu schnell auf die Kante komme weil die Reifen "schmaler" sind. Nices Video🔥

    • @BRAAAPP
      @BRAAAPP  10 місяців тому +1

      Sicher geht das, taste dich ran und schau mal, wie weit du den Reifen dafür ausfahren musst aber ansich geht das genauso :)

    • @SirSnogo85
      @SirSnogo85 8 місяців тому

      Wobei ein schmälerer Reifen nicht unbedingt leichter auf Kante zu fahren ist. Auch baut nicht jeder Reifen der gleichen Größe gleich breit, ein S22 ist quasi beim Abbiegen auf Kante während ein Tourensportler einige Grad mehr Schräglage benötigt.

  • @Maxibsa
    @Maxibsa 10 місяців тому

    Haste noch irgendwelche Tipps speziell für Linkskurven ? Habe da noch immer Probleme. Knie geht runter wenn ich will, aber dann eher gezwungen. Ich bekomme einfach kein Vertrauen in die Schräglage in Linkskurven. Und die Linie richtig zu treffen finde ich auch viel schwieriger als in Rechtskurven. Rechts rum alles kein Thema Linie, Reifen komplett auf Kante, da fühle ich mich wohl.

    • @BRAAAPP
      @BRAAAPP  10 місяців тому

      Same bei mir.
      Was ich dir raten kann ist übe mal mit weniger Speed eine gleichmäßige Linie eher weiter außen zu fahren, wenn man die Kurve dann später (im Fortschritt des Lernens) außen ansetzt und eher bisschen hinein zieht (insofern man genug sieht), dann fühlt sich alles besser an.
      Aber fahr mal langsam eine konstante Linie also immer gleich weit außen durch die ganze Kurve (ca. im äußeren ⅓) und baue dann langsam speed auf. Prinzipiell braucht man dafür einfach viele Wiederholungen und einfach üben aber das sind meine Tipps auf schnell
