This is a great story. That truly needs to be told on a grander scale.
I am disappointed however, that Mrs Baker had to endure such an unprofessional and callous intervier.

My thoughts exactly! Especially the man, who acted like he was questioning a suspect.

PFC Baker is a historical trail blazing hero. Her contribution may seem small in comparison to the war. But her courage and dignity will be and should honored and remembered. Thank you Ms. Baker, your country called, you answered. Let it be known her country may have turned their backs on her. But she never turned her back on her country.

Oprah, Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, or someone needs to make a movie about these courageous, female, African American Veterans who served proudly overseas yet suffered racial discrimination on their home soil.
From one veteran to another I apologize for the way you were treated by the interviewer.
Thank you & God Bless You WWII Veteran Elizabeth Bernice Barker Johnson.

Love the story of the 6888th. Hope to see a movie soon. I do not care for the female interviewer. Mrs. Johnson can speak for herself without being told what to say and how to say it.

The condescendingly disrespectful way some white female, obviously infected with their racist based false sense of privilege and entitlement toward this African American Veteran is disgusting.
She'd already answered the questions. Why not allow this VETERAN to respond to the questions in the manner she chooses?
      You both should be ashamed!

Thank you for your service, ma'am! You did your part and you needed lots of courage to do that back then, much respect for that. You were just as important to the war effort as everyone else who served in the armed forces in any function whatsoever. The collective effort is what delivered the final victory.

They should indeed make a movie about the 688th, I like miltary history.
Their story should be told as not many people know about it.

The questions asked regarding segregation in our own homeland or our own nation of the USA were appalling. Lesson learned from how the people in UK or France to the USA folks. Again Thank YOU very much Ms Elizabeth Bernice Barker Johnson for your heart of service 🙏🙌♥️ God bless you and the whole of The 6888 Central Post Battalion Members 🙏🙌♥️

The White interviewers are working my nerves. Like, they keep asking her the same questions, differently, as if they don't like her answers. Very poor interviewers. I am grateful to hear this woman share her story... I just wished they'd let her talk and share openly without all the redundancy!

The female interviewer needs to be quiet and let her answer however she wants to. I'm offended that she felt it necessary to tell her how to answer a question! These veterans are in their 90s. The ingenuity and courage they showed volunteering during a world war speaks volumes. She doesn't need a speech lesson from you- Show some RESPECT!!

She showed respect, but i wish a trained historian had interviewed her to really bring out the info in depth about everything she did. Interviewing is a real skill and and art. Sadly, i assume the lady is no longer around to answer questions.

What an amazing lady! I would love to hear her just tell her story as she wanted to, without prerequisite questions. I wish there was more from her and less of the questions!
I don’t know if the female interviewer was related to her or not (as another comment stated) but she came off as very condescending and disrespectful.

You better believe the English treated them well. They knew they would be part of Hitler's Germany without the USA involved. Being British, we owe a great debt to America, although there are still some in my generation that detest Americans because of their stupid English pride. Incidentally, the Scots and Welsh do not share this sentiment. Americans are most welcome there. The English were always the conquerors in the past, not the conquered. Plus, our women wanted American soldiers to marry them and take them back to the USA; British soldiers detested this.
