Hi Karen, I started out a crafter. It’s been my saving grace. I have a rare bone disease and it’s pretty much made me home bound (except for the occasional trip to Walmart or Michaels. There is nothing like the feeling you get when a project turns out right. Compliments,too ,are a good feeling. Well now I’ve decided I want to be an artist and I’m trusting your videos to get me there. Thank you so much for the lessons.

So, first off, I'm so sorry that you had a rough patch with a friend. I really dislike it when I have a problem with a friend. It does give you a rattle. The last several months I've been going down that road with a work friend and it has TOTALLY changed how I interact with everyone that I work with now. Enough of that for now, we do find our way though and like you said, I'm sure things will work out one way or another eventually. Last week, I mentioned (in regards to the kids) "That's why we invented Art and Drinking"... lol I think that applies to friends too. I truly believe that art has been a total life saver for me these past 6 years. So I totally get the emotional side of it. I love your free spirit and your expression of your free spirit when you create. It totally draws me in and I so appreciate that when I watch your videos!! It's very inspirational to me! I am so going to have to join Karen's group too. (I haven't been on facebook much lately) I love the inspiration that this drawing gave me. I loved it and I love your interpretation of it. She is such a pretty girl and definitely deserved to be the last inner page of this particular journal. I really love the journey that you took us all on with this one!! Kat somehow I missed this beautiful comment until right this second. Can you believe it's been 7 months and things are STILL not back to normal with me and my friend. I'm so sorry to hear that something similar happened in the workplace, that is soooo sad and I'm sure awkward. Has it passed by now?? (Fingers crossed it has 🤞❤). I so enjoy your videos: I was watching them on our tv and my husband came in and for over an hour we just watched you create. It was a lovely evening and watching you create inspired him to do a bit of leather carving "just because" (he does awesome leather work, but carving is the more creative aspect of it and he does not do it very often). Thanks for sharing!

I am glad - we don't normally watch YT together, so it really was special, and I was so glad he wanted to carve. I generally draw what he wants, then he transfers it to leather and carves it (when he carves, which is not terribly often). Totally agree with Picasso!

OMG Karen, What a lovely piece of work. I especially love her eyes and mouth. Plus the collours too. Funny but I was looking at some neon paint last night when I was " browsing" on 'The Works ' website. I didn't get any but I will next time. Next week perhaps if I can hold out that long. " Browsing always costs money doesn't it? haha. I am so sorry that you have had a falling out with your friend and feel so hurt. Art and craft is perfect at such times, I know I always feel better doing something crafty. I am no way near as talented as you are but that does not matter in the least. Whatever your level the main thing is that the doing of it is cathartic ( is that the right word? )and helps to offload any negative thoughts and feelings.
