I saw Men Don't Leave in the theater in 1990 and had been searching for the soundtrack ever since. I read rumors that it was out there somewhere, and that a precious few had actually seen it or listened to it, so I knew I should continue my quest. I purchased a box of random cd's at an estate sale ~7 years ago, and in the box was a demo CD with full soundtracks of "Men Don't Leave" and "Deceived". When I saw the CD, I felt like it wasn't real - that I had misread or just saw what I wanted to see - but after double-checking probably 50 times I finally realized that I had won the Thomas Newman lottery. It has the entire soundtrack, even the music using typewriters that was so weirdly fascinating. Deceived is a movie from 1991 starring Goldie Hawn and is actually pretty solid, although underappreciated IMO. His music is hauntingly good for that movie as well, although it's not the gold standard of Men Don't Leave! Sadly I misplaced the CD when I moved. It's in a box somewhere and now I'm on a new quest to rediscover it.
This particular track has haunted me since my childhood. 3:30 on is musical perfection

Es cierto. Su estilo, muy parecido al de su amigo Michael Convertino, ya era muy reconocible.
