I remember when I was 5 years old my old man had left his hot rod magazines out for me to look at. While I was looking over all the cool shots of drag cars on the line I remember looking halfway through the magazine and seeing a Henry J gasser along side a Stone, Wood's and Cook willys. I'll never forget that day...
I read some cool advice, along the lines of it being wise to keep an eye on one's character from around the mid 40's, towards working on who one wants to grow into, cultivating the better qualities and working on the rest.
I’m so glad I watched the video! That color is amazing, the interior is GREAT! And the story of the car, the name for his mom is sweet. Man! This car is literally one of the best. To top it, cool dude and special gift
Love the channel. I can have a shitty day at work. Watch this channel on my lunch. See your grin from ear to ear. Helps me get through the day. Badass little car! Thanks for sharing.
My favorite street rod I've ever seen. Loved these cars my whole life and I've never seen one street Roddenberry with a blown 392 with a stick. I could go on n on,! Candy brandy wine too, my favorite car or bike color. I'm in love!
I'm normally not a fan of body mods but this one is irresistible. What a well done hot rod all around! Kudos for going with an overdrive. This looks like one of the more fun rides on the channel.
Henry J-K-L whatever the hell that thing was awesome. Hey, your production crew should be getting awards for how they put these segments together! Nothing compares to your crew. It’s hard to watch any other production! It’s not even close! 👌💪🥋
Have always loved the Henry J. The craftsmanship is stellar and that paint looks like it's a mile deep. Great sound too. Great stance. Be safe and stay well.
When I put a T10 in my 71 Vega back in the 80's people thought I was stupid. Nothing beats a manual for pure excitement for the driver. When it pulled the wheels off the ground most just stood there awe struck. I miss her.
Back in the day I had a neighbor with a whole backyard full of Henry J's. I told her never heard of it. I was small. Now I know much later in life. I was born at Kaiser Permanente. 😆 True.
top favorite drag racer was wild willy borsche ... watched him pull the front wheels mid track and with both rear tires bellowing smoke...never forget that
If it were mine, I would have left it looking exactly the same as the before pic, gasser look with all the surface rust, but that's just me. I don't mean that as a slight though, because the car is beautiful and the owner is right to be proud. The interior and paint are gorgeous, and that 6-71 blown 392 is awesome. Great car!
He looks like an ex marine who is missing his straw hat and cigar. Probably lite his cigar while chocking you out with his other hand and still quote a mother goose tale with a smile.
What an awesome J! Just a couple of things though- there’s no such thing as a DeSoto 392, (they were Chrysler only) and it definitely seems a bit flat too that thing should be boiling the hides when nailed! 😁
I used to see Heny Js in the magazines as a kid and they were always Gassers. I prefer this approach, especially with the wine on camel rather than some garish combo.
That is so beautiful in an ugly sort of way ..can’t quite put my finger on it. A car builder enjoying his ride ,smile a mile wide god he means it love it …keep well guys

I read some cool advice, along the lines of it being wise to keep an eye on one's character from around the mid 40's, towards working on who one wants to grow into, cultivating the better qualities and working on the rest.
Goose looks like he's going to punch someone in the face when he plants his foot. :-)
yeah, all the prius guys.
I’m so glad I watched the video! That color is amazing, the interior is GREAT! And the story of the car, the name for his mom is sweet. Man! This car is literally one of the best. To top it, cool dude and special gift
That Henry J logo was so cool. A keeper.
Hemi J 😉
That was very nice of him to give a Logo to Shawn
Love the channel. I can have a shitty day at work. Watch this channel on my lunch. See your grin from ear to ear. Helps me get through the day. Badass little car! Thanks for sharing.
Really glad that you filmed this car, you don’t see too many Henry Js on the street.
My favorite street rod I've ever seen. Loved these cars my whole life and I've never seen one street Roddenberry with a blown 392 with a stick. I could go on n on,! Candy brandy wine too, my favorite car or bike color. I'm in love!
Yeah, it’s such a great build and Goose is just awesome!
I hope I'm as lively as this guy when I get that age.
Me too!!
@@AutotopiaLA that was really cool of him to give you that emblem.
He’s probably not as old as you think! But he is enjoying himself!
I'm not in the car and it's got me smiling watching the owner driving that thing. Such a amazing car.
Bad Ass ride and this guy is the best owner you've had on here.
I'm normally not a fan of body mods but this one is irresistible. What a well done hot rod all around! Kudos for going with an overdrive. This looks like one of the more fun rides on the channel.
Outstanding craftsmanship. Surely the old gentleman knows how to drive. Just awesome 😎
He’s a legend!
@@AutotopiaLA Him baulking at his car being called cute is kinda funny. Cute is masculine too, lol. 🙂
That’s a badass old man. Rowing gears too. Makes me smile to see genuine guy like this 👏🏼

“Hot rods aren’t cute, they’re either bitchin or tits!” Haha, love this guy!
I love this guy. Khaki shorts, Hawaiian shirt, old man slamming through the gears with a huge supercharger
Easily the coolest car on this channel. And that's saying a lot.
This is what I love about this channel. I always learn something new. Amazing Henry J. Beautiful colour too.
Being dutch i don't know the guy. But i sure like his style and attitude behind the wheel. He's ready for business!
Have always loved the Henry J. The craftsmanship is stellar and that paint looks like it's a mile deep. Great sound too. Great stance. Be safe and stay well.
Wow, just wow! A thousand thumbs up!
A real hot rod with 2 doors and 3 pedals! No slushboxes.
Absolutely wonderful

Notice how Goose laughed like a kid when Shawn said "here I'm smiling like a little kid"🤩
He’s such a great guy!
Cool lil’ J
“Rather be Blown......then Stroked” 🏁
When I put a T10 in my 71 Vega back in the 80's people thought I was stupid. Nothing beats a manual for pure excitement for the driver. When it pulled the wheels off the ground most just stood there awe struck. I miss her.
Sean one of your best videos, super cool car and great guy! 👍👍🇬🇧
Haven’t seen goose since the pandemic started, glad to see him with his game face here.
I’ve been waiting for this shoot since meeting him at Hot wheels over 3 years ago!

Cool ride! The view from the rear with that huge tires and that rear window is awesome.👌
Soo much respect all around!
Old school hot rod guys are the best! 🤘🏻
Couldn’t agree more 🤘
What an awesome Job that must be. you get to bond with car guys all around, see what they have, try it out as well!
This guy have every cool stuff he could get…and the color is just 😚
Dayuuumn! That is one sweet ride. Well done custom work and the paint is spot on.
Very very impressive!
The attention to detail is mind blowing! This was FUN!
WOW a badass Henry J beautiful color outstanding build, I remember when there were a couple of them running around town
Yes just yes. Way bitchin ride. Cars like these are what got me into cars all together. Great video Shawn as always thank you.

top favorite drag racer was wild willy borsche ... watched him pull the front wheels mid track and with both rear tires bellowing smoke...never forget that
Brings back a lot of memories, friend had a 51 J that was built into a street/ strip B Gas rod !!!
I haven't seen a Henry J in like,forever! Love the looks & color of this little beast!❤😎👍
Great car!
Awesome Build 👍👍🇺🇸
The Vermonter
Woohooo at last a real hot rod and awesome guy love it loveIT love my hot rod back here in GB THANKS DUDES
I always loved the HenryJ! I wanted to slant-chop it. I did it to a model when I was a kid and it looked awesome.
That is beautiful and way way better than the rust bucket I just saw on another video.
Goose and Henry J are perfect for each other
Nothing in the world like the older cool cars way better than the new junk simple awesome
What a beautiful ride !
That car is Amazing.
He has that look of "git'u some uh that" on his face when slamming those gears. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
my new favorite autotopiaLA video,
Such a unique build, absolutely beautiful 👍 great video as always.
What an awesome owner with a badass blown beauty! 👌🔥🔥
Unique and different absolutely…not to mention bad ass
Hats off to MR. Henry J. She's a sweet ride
He looks like an ex marine who is missing his straw hat and cigar.
Probably lite his cigar while chocking you out with his other hand and still quote a mother goose tale with a smile.
One of a kind of car right here
Didn’t think I would ever say that a Henry J looked cool but this one does. Took a lot to make a goofy looking car look cool!
What an awesome J! Just a couple of things though- there’s no such thing as a DeSoto 392, (they were Chrysler only) and it definitely seems a bit flat too that thing should be boiling the hides when nailed! 😁
Didn’t know that about the DeSoto. He never really nailed it hard…was hoping he would
Great car and even better story.
I used to see Heny Js in the magazines as a kid and they were always Gassers. I prefer this approach, especially with the wine on camel rather than some garish combo.
What a cool car. I didn't want the video to end.
Love seeing unusual cars from this channel.. love this coverage .. cool video 😎👉🏾
I just had to comment about those "teeny ninie" wheelie bars on that "itty bitty" track monster! LMFAO! I want a ride! 😎
This is really good stuff Shawn
Goose: the tail lights where here, and now they are here...
Me: Where are the tail lights??
😂
I'm curious about those rear quarters and looks like removable panels to get those big MT's on there.
You're feeling good b/c you have the coolest ride at cars & coffee, then Goose shows up with his '51 HenryJ 😤
Cool ride man very unique and so well put together 😎
Awesome unique build.
So unique and personal to Goose
Looks like that Henry J brings some serious business.
