Thx mate but it's to fast for me to see the very first part. I wish I could see the buckle clearly BEFORE you start to thread the strap. I can't see if it's the same as the one I'm wrestling with ..
The straps on my dog's harness keeps slipping regularly making it unreliable and unsafe. The problem with my straps is that the end of each strap seems to be doubled over - obviously to stop the whole thing slipping out completely. The doubled ends of these straps make it twice the thickness and virtually impossible to pass it through back on itself. I've tried tapes etc with no success.
I’d have to see the strap. But, if the end is long enough. You could bring it back over the buckle and fix it by a small cut loop of inner tube or tape
@dreamlookautodetailingauto3353 the problem with that from my side is that. It’s a working strap. So you’ll need to be able to tighten and loosen it. This is not only for this type of strap. It’s for rappel seats, climbing seats, tightening up on a ruck sack etc.. this is an easy fix to secure the lock.
Many thanks Mike, fixed my problem perfectly.
Thanks. Happy to help

I’ve got a second video where I’ve filmed it more clearly
Or you cut the groves with a small file again deeper in the buckle, like they have been befor. 🤔 🤗
Do what you want. This is what u learned. 😅as an alpinist, a paratrooper and scuba diver.
Works great on my kite harness. Thanks
This can save you on a rappel harness. It’s an old trick that helps to secure the buckle.

different
could you explain please. different from what?
But which is top and which is bottom 😢
I really don’t understand the question. I made this video nearly two years ago.
Tape it? 😂...how about adding a threaded stitch. Now this will never come undone.
But it could still slip
@mikebox It will never slip and come undone as long as you put a couple of folds in it. I know I've done it on several of my packs.

@dreamlookautodetailingauto3353 I’ve done it all. Of course you can do as you want. But this is to secure the buckle. Maintain friction.
Indeed. This works with many straps. Nothing new here. But it’s a technique we used in. The army
Nice presentation… but CLEAN & CLOSEUP VIDEO would have helped.
Not always that easy. Only using my phone to make my videos. But! I’m getting better. Thanks
I’ve made a new video on the subject. I hope it will help
Outstanding! And sorry about the first comment. I honestly didn't mean to make it sound as harsh as it ended up sounding. 🙄😁
@@PowderMill no worries. I’m a grown man.
