With the space I had to work with, I accomplished what I wanted.
You can find Part 1 here (Making the Patio Pavers) ua-cam.com/video/lkBgjl7YsBc/v-deo.html
It is beautiful ! She's so beautiful thank you for sharing her I like when she said I want to help let her help she ain't going to hurt anything it's outside God bless peace be with you much love and respect
Good good good
Hello my friends I'm from Morocco welcome to my channel
This is something I have been looking for. Question .... do you not need to use re bar on the concrete pavers?
Absolutely gorgeous results and may pinch (steal) some of your ideas for my garden here in UK 😉
Part 3? You were going to show what you did between the pavers. I wanted to see that.
Gahahahahahahwhwhwywhwgwgegsgssgsg
looks amazing also =best parenting tip ever..."when your child wants to work, LET THEM !!! "
We need more hard workers deep in their soul like you my friend. Not just a speaking UA-camr. You’re the real deal, not giving excuses and learning at the same time. Showing and leading your kids. Respect!
Yeah - I really liked the part where you let your kid help you dig. If it wasn't for my dad letting me help with stuff I wouldn't do all of the projects I do. Keep up the great work!
The struggle is real! Keep it up! 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yeap, 100%
That was nice of you to say that bro, Much respect for not leaving a ignorant comment, he’s a awesome UA-camr!
AGREED!
A wife would say you are a keeper. Your children will know they have a Dad who is capable right before their eyes. Bless you for showing a good work ethic and a methodical can do attitude.
Great job putting the supervisor to work!
I love that your daughter helps you, it's even better that she wants to ask questions and learn. She's gonna be the next DIY Creator!
Using child labor which is illegal in most countries.
Heck yeah she is!
@@rssv1770 I really hope you're joking with this lol.
Forced child labor for profit is an atrocious, despicable act. Kids working with their families though, this is the most natural process. Very few countries don't have this happening naturally. We've been doing this since before we were even humans .. it's how the little ones learn, and bond too.
When you treat kids like they are competent and intelligent .. turns out, they are.
When you treat them like they can't do sh*t ... turns out, they can't.
She learned quickly that bright purple boots are standard yard work attire.
You call that child labor? Such a snow flake, no wonder kids these days are super lazy and entitlement. If that's the case I'm a victim of child labor since age 7. Lol
Bless him, it wouldn't be ideal to walk back n forth on top of mulch to get to your entertainment space but I understand he did the best he could. At least it looks nice!
That's exactly what came to mind when I saw this. It's great work though
Who needs the gym with this workout! Amazing work! 💪🏼
I am so impressed with what I see. You are a serious bad ass. You have transformed that space into a beautiful retreat. How very nice.
I love it when folks have their kids help with projects like this. That is a memory she will have for the rest of her life. Not to mention the sense of pride in accomplishment she will feel every time she shows off this patio to her friends. You are building a lifetime legacy here.
This gave me some very happy memories of working with my dad. My brothers never wanted to, but I did. What I learned from him has served me well all the days of my life. I used to impress my late husband because I knew so much about "man" stuff. I am 72.
Hi Judy, I am 64 and I was always with my father and always doing things with him! Fixing cars, building stuff, fixing up the rentals that he used to own. I really miss my father. He was the biggest inspiration in my life. God bless you and yours.
I pictured the "you can do it" lady the whole time I was reading your comment.
Kids helping is always a good life experience. And a great way to bond with them . The moment she said what's that shiny yellow i honestly would of loved it if you would of said a pot of gold coins 😅
You have the BEST DIY videos!!! So binge worthy!!!
This is my second video of watching you bring a project to life. It's a pleasure watching you and your daughter work together. I did the same with my step-grandfather. Blessings! 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤💐
I love how you address that a project doesn’t have to be completed A-Z in one time. Real life. Sometimes you have to work in stages. It’s good to have a plan so that it looks complete while you wait for the next step in your process.
Simply irresistible and oh so BEAUTIFUL!🌴🥰
Glad to see Ken Griffey Jr. is picking up new hobbies in retirement. Love your channel btw.
All your projects are fantastic. Your little helper is absolutely adorable.
“When your child want to work, let them”…I totally agree Sir. Great job in on your backyard project and teaching your child. 👍🏼
I was always with my father and always doing things with him! Fixing cars, building stuff, fixing up the rentals that he used to own. I really miss my father. He was the biggest inspiration in my life. And you will be with your beautiful daughter. God bless.
This is awesome. I plan to do the yard for my wife and I think she’ll love it. Thanks for the ideas
Thanks for your videos, Glen. I'm on my own, so seeing someone else doing these things alone (except for the adorable hired help you have) is a real inspiration to give it a go.
Damn good job guy! You never fail with the diy projects. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Big Thanks!
"When your child wants to work, let'm" - solid advice.
Man. That looks REALLY good. GREAT JOB!
First, what a great job! It truly looks so inviting and beautiful. Working with your daughter reminded me of when we bought our home over 20 years ago. I have many pictures of my husband and our daughter (9 yrs) working together planting trees, shrubs & making memories. My husband died much too early (61) but working with his daughter in the backyard were special times for both of them & me too. Can't wait to see the final touches! I just found your channel for the 1st time today. You've given me some inspiration. Thank you!
You have yourself the potential for a thriving business should you choose! Great work overall on all your projects.
Haha thanks, if this youtube thing don't work out, I can do other things 😀. As long as I am able.
@@DIYCreators lol if UA-cam doesn't work out? You have 3million subscribers you're crushing it man!
D Web - He has a thriving business....it's his UA-cam channel.
I have never been so proud of a brother that I did not know! God bless you and your talent!
Same!
You got the Swagger! It’s a good thing you have The Boss there to keep you on task!!
I love, love, love how these concrete pavers turned out Glen and I love the plants and trees you've added.
Great that your daughter is out helping with the project! She's off to a great start! Hat's off to you!
I enjoyed this video esp working with your daughter. It was a great father-daughter moment touching.
You are the wise Yoda of DIY creative projects. Dude, you are amazing!
I am always impressed with your sense of style, design and common sense approach to these projects, Glen!
I also appreciated the mention of local code regarding slabs next to property line. Do you have to pull a permit on something like that? Or some other way to officially confirm the size of your pavers?
All your projects come out so nice. It is always refreshing to see the ideas become reality.
I just have to say this... not only are your videos nice to watch but you've got gorgeous eyes and that makes your videos even more appealing.
Love the idea that you found a way to get around the rules. They'll always tell you what you can't do instead of what you can.
Your choice of the palms and other plants, made the area gorgeous. Very nicely done.
Nice job. Looks great. I love how you poured the concrete in sections, making it manageable and subverting the "rules." Nice work.
Man and woman with skills that's what we need 👌
😍🤩😍🤩 I love that you and your baby did the work together ❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I liked the video when watching you instruct your daughter on how to work it, but I love the video for the overall finished look. Great job!
I love it! You created a beautiful out door space.
Love that you encouraged your daughter to help!
It's always nice to have a "little" help.
I love these large pavers. I actually thought of doing something like this. So happy you shared this project with us all.
Right on time was looking for the part 2 after watching one last night. Getting my tool game up so I will be doing more projects
Haha, thanks for checking back!
The work that you and your beautiful daughter did was excellent you're right if a child want to help let them help it teaches them how to do things so when they move into their own home they know what they can do keep up the good work tell your little princess great job
When you said trees I was expecting some small saplings, then you come out with those beasts and one almost sent you flying as you lowered it. Honestly that cracked me up. Very engaging video, ambitious project, and nice design. Great work!
You did a spectacular job creating this space. It's exactly what I want to do in our back yard this summer. Especially appreciate your clever way to install large pavers.
Glen, you never fail to impress me. I can't do any of the things you show on your videos but I thoroughly enjoy seeing you do them. And your attention to detail is right up my alley. Well done. I look forward to part 3.
I can't have a large patio? No problem, I'll make large pavers instead. You beat the code. 🏆
You are one hard working man!!!! What you have done looks absolutely terrific!!!
Beautiful work man
Glen, your projects are simply gorgeous. Your attention to detail is spot on. I love watching your wood working skills/technology.
Thank you 😅, I appreciate the kind words.
These squares would make a nice walkway too!
You are a hard worker so you need to have a happy evening out in your backyard sitting watching the Palm trees and other plants growing beautiful along with a good dinner good job Bro ❤️ that Area 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely amazing how this turned out! I loved watching the progress!
I love the results! I have been thinking about doing something similar in my backyard and seeing this kinda makes me think I could pull it off! Thanks!
Breddah! Breddah mi can't beleive you plant those palms by yoself... proud a yuh yo
Love what your doing and doing it yourself. Your saving a lot of money. Now a days because of the pandemic the landscapers are charging double for labor and double for materials. Good job.
Very nice mate. I love how you always make your projects look effortless. I had a thought of tying the deck to the patio area with some kind of bridge/walkway and perhaps another one from the grass to the patio. So you don't walk over the mulch. Turning the mulch area to a shallow water feature would actually look really good. Love the projects, keep up the amazing work and videos.
I love everything about this video, but mostly how you were able to get around the restrictions! I feel like you should be able to build whatever you want in your backyard as long as it's not invasive (like a giant tower that blocks the sun from all your neighbors etc), so glad you found a way.
Some neighbour might not like the idea of stormwater running from your hard surface into his property
dude you knocked this out of the park. incredible work man. my back started hurting just watching you start to dig up all that grass. haha. much respect.
I love your energy and channel. Glad I stumbled across this channel when I did. Keep it up!
Thanks! Glad to have ya!
This is beautiful! Great job!
Thank you!
SO beautiful. You are insanely talented! 😍
Your like so seriously talented and your videos are so professional.
Excellent work! It looks beautiful.
Thank you!
As usual, informative and fun!
Glad you enjoyed it
@@DIYCreators always love your videos: straightforward and simple, succinct and clear.
Man, i will love to be your apprentice. Watching your videos is such an inspiration. Thanks for all the good deliveries!!
yOU ARE AWESOME, BRO, NO KIDDING. I AM SO PROUD OF YOUR AMBITION AND STAMINA AND YOUR DAUGHTER IS ADORABLE. YOU ARE AWESOME, OH, DID I SAY THAT? GREAT JOB!
New subscriber here! I'm hooked! The way you explain your process, costs, and even your daughter helping you makes me excited to achieve something like this in my backyard with the help of my two pre-teen sons. So happy I found your channel, it's inspiring. Thank you!
Looks amazing. Love the clean look.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great work. But man, you must wake up sore every morning. Your little helper is so precious.
LOVE YOUR ASSISTANT! That's a memory you will never forget! And you will have this video too! Beautiful
When planting plants, make sure you keep the crown (where the plant emerges from the root ball) about an inch or two above the level of the soil. This prevents crown rot and allows you to add mulch on top of the soil without smothering the plant.
Yeah, I thought he planted them a bit deep
This is absolutely amazing from where it started. I love the clean and simple look! Totally love the trees. Your truly gifted! Thanks
Thank you so much!
Your helper did a great job :)
You, my friend, are a hard working man. Kudos.
"Go on take care of it" Like your way of teaching your kid. No spoon feed.
😀 You got it!
You did.a great job. Question: Are you concerned about the trees’ roots growing under the pavers and lifting them up?
I was thinking the same thing, plus the slab is very thin..
@@francoisdesmarquis8548 and not reinforced with metal
I had the same thought. The roots of a palm tree will mess stuff up, most people I know who have them in there yard want them gone they tend to be a nuisance. Those squares are definitely gonna crack with no reinforcement especially since you used sack crete that stuff is known for cracking.
@@dylanrampage9360 it depends on the type of palm but generally, no, palm roots do not cause issues with pavers or concrete. They typically get blamed because the pavers or concrete were actually installed incorrectly (incorrect base, etc). It's highly unlikely that a palm tree's roots will damage concrete. The roots for palm trees stay the same diameter for the life of the root.
You moving those trees was impressive. This is giving me great ideas for my back yard
Its great that you are teaching the little one
You inspire me with your videos EVERY SINGLE TIME! You rock good sir!
I love the finished design and design.
Your little helper is just the sweetest.
You did an amazing job! You are creating a great legacy. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Just love what your doing to your home. So awesome. Using the wisdom and thought process that God gave us. Thank you so much. You put a lot of love. A lot of thought. And a lot of work. God Bless You.
I liked the motivation, patience and management of time. Keep up the good work Brother teach the trade to the youth so we can build our own world.
Nice backyard upgrade, proving once again a little sweat equity can go a long way.
you have a great little helper there. I'm a firm believer in getting the children involved in home projects.
Good guidance and demonstration giving ideas for a patio-garden design.
Glad to see your kid wants to work, mine never do.
“All I can say is when your child wants to work, let em,” Best advice!
You are an inspiration for all . Love the Concrete patio result. Amazing!
I appreciate that you didn’t use any expensive machinery. Well done!
In over 5 years your skills have never ceased to amaze and entertain me! 👏😊
It's the baby shovel for me!!!😍😍😍 it's the tiniest cutest shovel ever! It's great that the baby girl is interested in your trade! She will never be out of work. Ever.
Great job on patio project 👏. You have Inspire me to take on a Concrete project, instead of hiring someone. Thanks for sharing 👍
