This is a tricky one for some reason! Thank you for the lesson, Chris.. I mentioned this to you on a previous vid. that i was at the Winterland show thats on you tube... 15 years old.. i remember the other opening band "third rail"
Thanks so much. One of mine too. I always wished they would have put this tune in the set list. I will be putting up the tab for this song soon on my Patreon channel. Here's the link www.patreon.com/christophercox?
yeah buddy, great finger work....when i heard this in 1976, i thought it was mick ronson guesting...or keith....helluva riff, breaks every music - theory rule!!...but it works dammit! Thanks for breakin it down, I can now sort of play it!....extremely slow, senior citizen tempo!!
Hey John! Thanks man! I appreciate you. I never though about Mick Ronson or K. Richards, but I agree. The solo definitely has their styling or phrasing. Excellent observation. Take care and stay safe my friend.
@@ChristopherCox thanks, caught kiss in waterbury in '75.....didn't like 'em then at all, like 'em now.....those bar chords and suspensions really bring me back to a happier time....I'm safe- I have a double cartridge 3-m mask! I am a painter , you see!!!!
Hello my friend. That's a good question. I've been playing a long time and playing KISS songs has always been something I love to do. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure home many KISS songs I know. A lot of times, I know parts of songs, but not every part until I sit down to do a lesson. Thank you for your question.
I think you're asking about the tuning? When playing along with the album the tuning is not quiet to standard. In the video I provide an open low E note to tune to if you want to play along with the album or video. Thanks
Hey Hadley. The tuning on this song is not quiet to standard and E flat is too low. You can tune to me on the lesson if you want to play along with the album. From what I've read about some of these older records is that sometimes tape is either speed up or slowed down slightly. Take care.
¡SUPER!
Thank you Francisco.
One of my favorite Kiss riffs! Thanks as always Chris!
Mine too. Thank you Steven for checking it out and commenting.
Thank you, i was struggling with the last lick until i watch your video

Hey Tom. I remember you. Yes, I agree this is a tricky riff. The slide into the riff was tough to learn.

@@ChristopherCox i got my first electric because of kiss. They were my first rock music teachers.
@@hadleymanmusic same for me
What about the sound? How did you dial that in?
Hi Chris. I have my gain set on about 7, mids 5, treble 6, and bass 6. I use a Mesa Boogie Mk 5 35 amp, which is a high gain amp.
Any change you would ever consider tackling the acoustic version of Beth from KISS meets the Phantom of the Park?
Hey Mike. Yes, I will put it on my list of requests. Thanks.
@@ChristopherCox thank you thank you
And maybe the little solo ace played during Beth on unplugged with it
