Clean energy access in Zambia: RDG

RDG Collective is a company developing its own solar home systems, established in Zambia in 2018. It operates the entire supply chain from design and manufacturing to sales and distribution, and provides after-sales support in all the provinces. With the financial support from Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa, the company can expand its operation to the remote Northern and Western Provinces of Zambia.
Rita Chanda, is a teacher at a school in a remote village of Zambia. Thanks to the RDG solar, the kids can watch educational programmes on the TV powered by solar energy and teachers can charge their mobile phones at any time.
