Atrocious conditions at the start of the video....... We seem to have only two seasons now, dry season & wet season. That Panther travels well over the fields for such a big machine, some piece of kit. Always enjoy your uploads. ATB
Your right, only two choices or should I say 3, Wet, Very very wet and dry 😂 Apparently the panther , has a bigger cleaning area on the turbines than it’s 6 wheel sister, the tiger, but it only has a 20t tank compared with 30. All very expensive.
Yes very wet conditions but frost as saved to day harvester travelling well But let’s hope soil structure hasn’t been damaged to much. 400mm of rain with me near m18 /m180 junction in last 6 months
Yes they occasionally get stuck, then your usually in big trouble 😂😂. The lifting season and factory shutting down around here usually ends around mid to end of February, but as the season is I believe it will go on longer. All the beet on the “easier ground” has nearly been lifted which leaves a lot of heavier ground and traditionally bottomless land left.
We have a ropa lift our beet there a beet eater. Sure it’s 30ton hopper on them and weighs 28ton empty. The rain this week been terrible I was going through Winterton my wipers couldn’t keep up. !!
@@JDautopower i would love too I can bring my drone get you some shots of something I am there most weekends. My lass lives at Burton upon Stather so close.
Thanks 😊. It’s a contractor machine so he has the unfortunate job of washing it. I believe they have a Volvo penta engine in them 740hp or so. Will find out the exact size. Will take video of the engine, not next week, but after new year.
Great video and being able to see how the weather is in another part of the country. Pretty wet on the ground indeed.
Thanks, yes I agree it’s good to see how it’s affecting different parts of the country, but there seems to be an overwhelming theme appearing……wet 😂

Fingers crossed to, but wold land is not to bad and can be rectified more easily than silts. It’s been a year that just keeps on giving!
Do those harvesters every get stuck , and when does the beet lifting season finish?
