This is genius. I forgot this existed. These corner blocks. I’m trying to figure out how to run wires in my finished basement ceiling and one solution was crown moulding and thankfully I stumbled across your video as I was going to attempt to do the miter cuts. Thank you thank you thank you!
That’s how I felt too!! I love green but I’m seeing it too much these days and wanted to try something a little different. And yes!! It’s a game changer - the kind I used was foam but there’s a more expensive rubber type version that goes on a little straighter! 👌
Love that idea it looks great! I bought a table saw last year to do my own crown moulding but I've been putting off starting...The straight cuts look less intimidating. Thanks for sharing :)
It can totally be intimidating, especially with a table saw! I'm self taught and it took me about 3 years to get fully comfortable with the table saw. and YES this style is so much easier to install 🙌 You'll totally have to let me know if you try it AND if you have any questions when you dive in ☺
👏👏 Guuuuuaaaa que buen resultado, siempre en estas instalaciones hay muchos desafíos pero los resultados son geniales. Un abrazo grande desde Chile 💯💯💚
Nice work. Like the ceiling color and it's funny cuz an interior decorator I know is always using Revere pewter on the walls and trim and Collingswood Tan on the ceilings
Oh wow we did something similar - bought a cedar block house that was covered in plaster so we put drywall over every single wall we have - we always think about the amazing things we could have done if only this house was made out of wood lol. Im trying to figure out how to do molding now
need ear protection when you're operating that saw, miter saws are one of the loudest tools in the shop, and every little bit adds up. would recommend banded plugs so you can keep them around your neck while you work. stick with a reputable brand like 3m, moldex, honeywell, etc to be sure the NRR on the product is actually accurate. i personally hate using earplugs, so if you're like me, i would recommend 3M Peltor X4 or X4B. they're expensive, but they have an extremely good NRR to size/weight ratio, and are very comfortable. stay safe :)
Love the way it looks! Did you use something else for the outer corner pieces? The piece looks narrower where the wall butts out to a corner. Could you use the same thing in the inner corners? I want to do this in one of rooms but curious about the outer corners that stick out from closet space. Jesus, I don’t know if any of that makes sense. Okay, great job and beautiful! Ha
Good eye! yes this is the flexible trim. I had to use it on the outside edge because these walls have curvature on the ceiling where in a normal space (aka a flat ceiling) you could use the same crown molding on each side so it would be cohesive!! 👍
I was hoping to love it but the different sized crown moldings and how they don't match up in the corners makes everything look a bit too crooked for my taste, those are some nice corner pieces
I’m wondering if I have to do crown molding. We are buying a new construction and the living room has a sloped ceiling. Looking up it looks like the ceiling has waves in it and you can see the curves where the ceiling meets the wall. Our realtor said that’s normal, that’s it’s very hard to get those ceilings flat. Is it normal or sloppy work that was done?
You are simply the best sexiest woman ever ever and that voice of yours i don't know if i was american i might became a stalker 😅😂😅😂. You're abnormally beautiful 😍.
OMG you don't know what you don't know. Thank you!! So basically this can be done in a weekend!! YES
She knows what she's doing. In more ways than one.

I'm so glad you didn't go green like just about everyone else. I love the colour you did use👌 didn't know about flexible trim..great info to know!

5:30 is very relatable. This is me at least once in just about every DIY project. Worth it though (most of the time).

Another great video Cara❤ thanks so much, love your suggestions 👍
Wow, love this tip with the corner pieces!
It’s for real one of my favorite trim hacks!! It makes it SO much easier and looks so polished 🙌
Lol when molding fell I laughed because that's what happens to me in my old house. Good job

I love it 👌🏾
Thank you!! 🙏🏼 ☺️ this was such a fun project - I can’t wait to finish the rest of this room!!
Looks great 👍

What's cedar block?

I live in a 1920s house, still plaster on walls. How do I compensate for the plaster vs drywall?
Looks great.
Love this ❤ you’re style is amazing. Thank you for the links. I already got some of your recommended safety glasses.
The thumbnail 😂😂😂😂

how did you learn how to DIY things like this?
Nice
Awesome.
☺️☺️☺️

That’s just because my ceiling is curved so I had to use bendable trim on one side 🥲 BUT for ceilings that aren’t curved it would all match up! 🙌

After buying two new builds, definitely sloppy work, but crown would cover it!
Hy very long time
