- The New Pokemon Snap Price has been revealed by Gamestop as of this morning. I can't say that I am too happy about it to be honest. When I learned that we were getting New Pokemon Snap I was super excited but, there needs to be more this time around to justify the cost.

By the title I thought you were gonna say $100..... Like every frikin new game is $60 I'm not surprised and neither should you. and I'm gonna buy it.
Point is...I don't think it's worth $60. Nothing more nothing less. Enjoy your game.

@@leonardofarias8843 When you look at content it absolutely can be compared. Some gamers base their decisions on content rather than nostalgia or love for a franchise. So while Sword and Shield provides you with upwards of 40 hours of content, Snap seemingly will be much less but we do only have 1 previous game to base that off of. The original could be played through in 3 hours though. Everyone makes their own decisions though, if thats your thing I am happy that you are excited. Just my take on it though.
@@NTCertified I'm only happy it exists because the first game came out on the Nintendo 64 what i'm saying is that its a really really easy game to make

When something like Xenoblade and Fire Emblem is $60 on the same system, it's really hard to justify spending that amount on this game.
My thoughts exactly. I understand that all games provide a different type of entertainment but all things considered this just won't be fair.
Yeah, I don't think I would buy this at release, either. I loved the original Pokemon Snap game and played it all the time as a kid. Personally, I don't know if I can justify spending $60 on it. For me, it's less the runtime and more the content. That, and I barely ever buy any games at full price. I usually don't do that unless I'm really really excited about it. The last game I bought at $60 was Resident Evil 3 Remake, and despite the short runtime, I absolutely loved it. I think it just depends on the game and its quality. Really interesting video! I enjoyed hearing your opinion on this!
Thanks Haley. I have been in that same mindset lately where i dont want games at release unless its something major. Like I am really enjoying Last of Us 2 and I feel justified there. Other than that and Ghost of Tsushima I will probably hold of on most games until the new consoles release. I hope we get more content for Pokemon Snap though.
@@NTCertified No problem! I always enjoy your videos! 😄 And yeah, I'd totally spend $60 on Last of Us 2 (that's actually the next game I want to buy). I'm pretty much set on buying Resident Evil games at release too, or at least soon after. With Pokemon Snap, I think for many people it'll depend on how they improve and expand on the original. If people are going to spend $60, it needs to have more than just nostalgia going for it. But Nintendo usually makes great games, so I do think they'll take it beyond that. I guess we'll have to wait and see, though!

Following Link’s Awakening, this is a $60 nostalgia cash grab for sure… shame, Nintendo. Because I’m ready and willing to hand you my money…
When are you going to make truly “NEW” games on par with your quality of the 90’s/early 00’s?
Only 1 “NEW” Mario Kart since ’14
Only 1 “NEW” Zelda since ’17
Only 1 “NEW” Metroid since ’07
Only 1 Great Paper Mario since ’04 (You’re delusional if you think they’ve finally figured it out +15 years later with Origimmick King)
Pokemon Sw/Sh was rushed, underdeveloped, lazy, and greedy. What a disappointing first Pokemon console game in comparison to what gen7 gave us. Take a page out for your book and megaevolve these franchises. The silver lining here is that Gamefreak isn’t running Pokemon Snap - perhaps that’s why it looks good from a visual standpoint. Maybe Nintendo should take the core Pokemon games away from Gamefreak going forward…
Still waiting on competent online Smash… The company simply can’t keep up. Out of touch with the times. It will never change as long as they can milk the memories of millennials.
Nintendo will never grow and reach the full potential of their IPs if we continue to settle for anything they throw our way. They need to be held accountable. They need to be held to a higher standard of quality at this point. The bad has been catching up with the good for some time now.
Pokemon Snap will be an easy $60 win for Nintendo thanks to everyone who continues to blindly follow this company.
The Switch was/is fun. But to tell us it’s only halfway through it’s cycle. C’mon, Nintendo. We played this game before (bc you keep selling it to us). The Switch peaked. Anything promising will most likely be delayed until it simultaneously comes out for your next system along with whatever ports/remakes/remasters/rehashes are planned.
Sony and Microsoft will run laps around us once again.
Joy-con quality is icing on the cake.

Doesn't matter how much new stuff the games of the core series need the development of a spin-off like this is completely different
Sword and Shield is supposed to be a full AAA game
