If the technology is proven and reliable, then let’s do it.
they need to ask they question. are we growing to fast. remember the state tries to lure corporations and manufacturers here and grow the state and the population base. but that wasn't as much the case 30 or 40 years ago. back then we grew but at a steady slow pace. and things just happened more naturally. I think that was the right way to go vs. what we are doing now. although I strongly support nuclear power in general. I hear state politicians talk about the our growth rate like it's a wonderful thing. but if you ask the people that have lived here their wholes lives, most of them would gladly take the utah of 30 years ago over what we have today and what we will have in 20 or 30 years (based on our current growth rate).
You know I don't understand why the companies that own these plants don't fork up their own money and why it's up to us We don't get the profits from this plant No we have to pay for electricity but we have to pay for it up front with our taxes. No I don't agree with this at all nope just like we have to pay for bonds and stuff every time they want to upgrade their power freaking stations but they're a for-profit company that's that's on them I don't understand why we have to fork out all this money and they get to keep profits. This is all bull Yes we need more power but we don't need to pay for it.
Why are they REALLY doing this??? They are lying to us about something.
