Your bike is an Interceptor, its designed for higher performance and with better control and braking etc, when you have a tag along like in this case who wants to compete, then its for you to understand that this was bound to happen. Mera bhi accident hua tha splender se, aur mere dost ka bhi hua glamour and shine bike se, the problem is these bikes are not meant to ride at high speed or sudden acceleration and sudden brakes may cause these low type of bikes to disbalance or fall as they don’t have disc brakes and Abs, also they have very thin tyres which doesn’t provide good cornering and traction on the road.
To those who think that the splendor guy hit him, watch the full video first. It was the fourth guy among the 650 riders who was riding a GT 650 who could not control his brakes and crashed into this guy. And that splendor guy helped him pick his bike up.

In the year 2005 I was chasing BMW 520d car in my Maruti 800 and it was moving at above 125 kmph and my speed was 125 kmph. A sharp turn ahead failed and my car was on top of a sand dune with my petrol tank leaking. No other injuries to car or me. Never get tempted by seeing others over speeding

I'm a Himalayan owner myself, and have been driving on and off roads for the past 8 years, last 2 on the Himalayan. While I agree the fault is on the side of the injured driver, I still believe the issue could have had a possibility to be avoided if you had put the brakes a bit sooner and stayed behind the guy, which would have given him some more braking space. To me, and I believe to most riders as well, it helps to think that our body becomes a part of our bike the more we ride it and find it enjoyable. So I would basically think in a way where I wouldn't want my bike to be in the service center for a while, and this perception while driving helps to remember to slow down once in a while. Always remember, it's alright to slow down once in a while where u feel is necessary, and that might just save our's or our bike's health. Please take it in good spirit, from one rider to another. I'm a Himalayan owner myself, and have been driving on and off roads for the past 8 years, last 2 on the Himalayan. While I agree the fault is on the side of the injured driver, I still believe the issue could have had a possibility to be avoided if you had put the brakes a bit sooner and stayed behind the guy, which would have given him some more braking space. To me, and I believe to most riders as well, it helps to think that our body becomes a part of our bike the more we ride it and find it enjoyable. So I would basically think in a way where I wouldn't want my bike to be in the service center for a while, and this perception while driving helps to remember to slow down once in a while. Always remember, it's alright to slow down once in a while where u feel is necessary, and that might just save our's or our bike's health. Please take it in good spirit, from one rider to another. Thanks.
