Why did you put the first layer of chalk paint and then another layer of the iron paint? Since it covered the first coat completely couldn’t you just omit that step? I have a foo dog that I want to patina and first I painted it a sea glass chalk paint. But I want the same effect you did on this. Do I need to cover the entire thing with iron next?
