The thing that amazes me the most about this arrangement is that the in-game original is so eerie and uncanny that I struggle to enjoy it. I think it's objectively amazing - don't get me wrong - but with the original composition, I always feel like the strange off-beat drum kick/hihat feels like a shuffling creature right behind me, juuuust out of my sight, and when I turn around it vanishes. The (13/8?) time signature and bass arpeggios just make me so uncomfortable. It's amazing how effectively it creates this atmosphere to complement the level design. But this arrangement somehow turns this unsettling, otherworldly experience into something downright transcendent, without sacrificing that ominous feel. It feels like it wouldn't feel out of place in a Kubrick film. Thanks for having these uploaded for all these years; these arrangements are things I always enjoy going back to
