They're a great fun! A pop band by heart hiding behind heavy metal gear and backdrops - very much like Sonata Arctica. And Noora does amazing job whenever she sings!
It's generally not a band I listen to, but every band has THIS ONE SONG. A song that despite you not liking the style of the music(nothing wrong with it, just not for me), you can listen to it over and over again. This is that song for me.

I don't mind them doing that, but if you want some stronger/more metal sounding Battle Beast go a bit back in their catalogue, for example "Out Of Control" is a real banger and the singer of the scream in the refrain of "Let It Roar" is the current singer (and I think even founder?) of "Beast in Black"
I don't usually listen to BB that much, but when their song comes from a radio while I'm driving... I always turn it up, sounds so good 😁 We have tons of metal bands here in Finland, I love it 🤘

Please please do. The guitarist-songwriter who shaped Battle Beast’s sound is now leading Beast in Black and that 80’s-homage sound is absolutely killer. Their vocalist is phenomenal as well. And for more of Battle Beast, my personal favorite is Let it Roar.

I dig the raspiness in the voice, that and screams is her at best, but then the soft and clean sounds good too. What is sad in Battle Beast, they don't have many good quality live recordings, yet they are a wonderful live band: Noora goes very wild and energetic on stage, and the guys are just having relaxed fun. Sometimes one just has to go with the audio version, as there's neither music video or good quality live.
I think it's time to introduce High Hopes from Nightwish to your buddy. You yourself thought it was fantastic. I think it will knock his shoes off too.
