@@notangeljay This sounds a LOT better than Rousseaus performance in my opinion. Not that he's not an amazing player, the expression on this performance just sounds much better to me.
When I heard Clair de Lune, I can imagine the light of the moon. Debussy made this captivating image of the moonlight reflection on the water below, or in itself in space. When I heard Rousseau's rendition, it was transcendental. I loved how he precisely plays the notes. Of course, now I heard this rendition, it brings tenderness, sweetness, and elegance. Where there was Liszt, there was also Chopin. Where there is Rousseau, there is also Kassia. Rousseau brings the reflectivity of the notes to how both pianist and audience can connect to the piece. Kassia, however, brings the sweetness, the unfortunately rather unspoken raw emotion, a different "edge" to the piece. I love it, good job, and keep rising to new heights and new distances and paths!
After a year of playing the piano & dedicating myself to practicing this piece for a couple of months, I’m happy to have finally finished it. Can’t wait to perform it for the talent show !!
