Beautiful. My nan had a massive stroke,and when I went to see her in hospital my mother warned she cannot speak. As I entered the room, her head followed me, and though unable to speak she sure knew it was me. Josefina sounds like a beautiful soul.
This is such a nice story. The yard sale part had me hooked and the flower is beautiful. I have a dress my grandmother sewed me. It doesn't fit anymore but she made it for my little gay self and it holds such memories for me.

I love the stories about Josefina’s tchotchkes. I have so many little items like that in my own home from all over, and I can truthfully say I love every single one of them. That mid century teapot is back in fashion again and the design is incredible. I’m really surprised that estate sales aren’t common in Spain but glad that you and Rafael got all the good stuff.

That flower is fabulous. I’ve been going through old photos of my kids when they were little and old friends when we were young. There’s a few of friends that died of AIDS the last horrible plague. It brings back great memories.

His condition was so serious, he couldn't walk, couldn't talk. But at one point he seemed to have a moment of clarity, saying, "I'm home!" And tears just poured out of my eyes and replied, "yes, you're home! We're so glad to have you here!" But then the moment faded. Like you, it's one of the little things I treasure. 💎 Your Rafael yard-sale story was hilarious!!! 😊

That teapot is beautimus! Your story reminded me of my mother, who years ago took a bad fall down the stairs and was "out of it" for over a week. Then I walked into her hospital room one day, and when she saw me, a huge smile came across her face and I just knew she was going to be all right. And she did recover from it. It IS the little things, like a hello or a smile, that make the moments of our lives that we cherish the most.
This one made me cry. It finally clicked with me the full extent of the message. I’ve been watching since the first of these, but now that I’ve moved away from a lot of my culture, it reminds me to really appreciate even the things I find scary at first in my new one. My husband and his family never did yard sales either which was funny because he didn’t come from a wealthy background, his parents were hard workers and worked for everything that they had. I came from the opposite (not really what you would say rich parents but well to do for) When we first started living together I inherited some of my mom’s things and didn’t really want them as me and her never had a what should say good mother daughter relationship. I took these things and set up a yard sale and he was laughing at me saying that things were not going to sell it was just all junk ( you know the typical response you get from a spouse) LOL. Amongst those things was this old reproduction table fastening meat grinder. As I put it in the pile he looked at me and laughed and said nobody is going to buy that seriously... it’s a meat grinder. I get my things set up and my first customer happens to be an older gentleman who sees the meat grinder sitting on top of the table. He asks me about the meat grinder first thing. My boyfriend now husband is sitting in the car not really caring about what is going on. The older man asks, what do you want for this meat grinder!? I said $15 he says, give it here. 😂 he could not believe that it was the first thing I sold. After that he was next to me looking and listening to what I was selling. I made $150 that day and he looks at me once we are done and asks, your taking me out to eat right? 😂

I can only say you cheered me up ... and maybe we're lucky and another Thought will be out just in time for a hopefully healthy and calm Thursday evening / night. Dear Coco you are my siesta. With every video I feel like I am breathing in health healing and love. The greatest gift is I'm starting to quickly remember all of the very little things in my life that turned out to be big things. Turning 60 in March was difficult as I'm sure it is for many. With our world-changing so drastically right around then there was no room or time for the luxury I'm feeling self-pity over a number. What I did hang onto with the desire to reflect unforgotten life experiences. I was feeling a little sad as I didn't receive a gift. Well I'll tell you I certainly did receive a gift and that gift came in the form a fabulous drag queen named Coco Peru. To you and Raphael please stay safe and be well and I will see you soon. I cannot get rid of anything! I would never let anyone get rid of my fathers things. I have a whole storage unit with tons of my dad’s useless stuff because it has so much meaning to me. Love this

My parents recently downsized and gave their art collection to us kids and rather than immediately grabbing the expensive stuff I went for what I remember hanging over the sofa when I was a kid looking up from watching Batman. The “junk” they bought as a young couple with kids in the 70s rather than what an interior designer chose for them. Because the little things are the big things.
My Great Aunt JuJu had dementia and I so relate to the stolen moments of clarity that mean a lot. Thank you for sharing and helping me remember her for a bit. 💗✨ Those artifacts are GORGEOUS I would have rescued them too. 😉
