- It's been an active and unprecedented tornado season for Southwestern Pennsylvania, and according to experts, storm season started a bit early this year. KDKA-TV's Ricky Sayer reports.
Pittsburgh Home of the New Tornado Alley.
Dang i live in Oklahoma city Oklahoma USA now and aint seen as meny as yinz.
Right outside Vandergrift🫡
Someone should inform the reporter that an EF1 is NOT the strongest, but near the bottom of the scale as the fellow from the NWS correctly stated later in the report. The Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale goes from EF0 (weakest) up to EF5 (strongest).
A reporter in Houston said the same thing. All that schoolin and they don't know what an ef5 is. 🤣🤣
It's the strongest we've ever gotten. Obvi not the strongest lol
Hello, Ricky here. I was referring to the Zoo tornado being the strongest of the 4 tornadoes that hit our area Friday, not that it was the strongest possible tornado. Hope that helps.
“We can’t get Tornando’s” 😂😂
More tornadoes back in 1985. And 1985 was one of the COLDEST years on record. There is no rhyme or reason.
Tornadoes were also much stronger back then as well. 1944 F4 tornado that started south of downtown. 1963 F3 Glassport tornado. 1980 Natrona Heights tornado was rated an F4. Then the 1985 outbreak. Then in 1998 and there was also a smaller outbreak of tornadoes in April 2002. Also tornado statistics for older years are lower due to lower reports of confirmed tornadoes. lack of technology and more densely populated rural areas. So tornadoes could've touched down and went unnoticed
As tornadoes go, these are reasonably mild and it isn't an unprecedented season yet, it just started. They'll also predict they'll be more hurricanes but they've been wrong about that the last five years. Anything to scare viewers.
🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️H 👍👍👍👍👍👍EAH...
Yall forget about 2019 LMAOOO
Well, if certain people would stop playing with the weather and let God do what He does. Maybe all this crazy weather would settle down. Look at India, Texas, now Pittsburgh, and so on.
God…. Which one? 😂
Go pray in traffic .
So God was mad at earth during the Ice Age???, who was he mad at? Did the dinosaurs offend God so he killed them all with a meteor.
@FynnOliverEmonSill The only one. The Great I Am, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
@@FynnOliverEmonSill Don't be silly.
I thought an EF1 or really an EF0 Tornado was the weakest? I thought EF5 was the strongest? That guy said an EF1 was the strongest. I don't think that's right. & it couldn't be the strongest that came through the area because the one that hit the other day out near Trax Fram was an EF2. So I'm a little confused.
Hello, Ricky here. I was referring to the Zoo tornado being the strongest of the 4 tornados that hit our area Friday, not that it was the strongest possible tornado. Hope that helps.
@@rickysayer2267 Oh ok. Thank you for explaining & specifying. It would have been nice if you could have specified that in the video. Because a few days before that the tornado that hit out by Trax Farm/Finleyville was an EF2. Which I believe was the strongest in the area the past week or 2 that we've gotten in this latest round of strong storms.
Its crazy all the tornadoes we've gotten here in SW PA this spring. When we barely ever get tornadoes here. I thought I read somewhere we might get 1 or 2 in the eastern part of the state in a whole year.
They can make Tornadoes where they don't have Tornadoes!
I'm guessing unprecedented is the new overused word of 2024. Guess it's better than cringe and vintage.
EF1 IS NOT THE STRONGEST
