I just found this channel. I need to carve out time to binge watch all these super videos. This will be my 21st year teaching, (mostly first grade), and I have two Master’s Degrees, but I still find this material interesting!!!
Hi Mark! Thanks for the comment - I love first grade! It is so nice to hear you find my content useful! 😊
Ahh! I’m about half way through LETRS training right now! Love the connection to that work!
Wow! Our current curriculum has our 5 year olds doing a lot of the skills for 6 to 7 year olds. It makes sense now how students were struggling.
We use Michael Heggerty in first grade and did all the parts every day for up to 15 minutes. He has a really good book that tells you exactly what to do. I am moving to kindergarten next year and will also use Heggerty. Should be so fun. Thank you for this video and the Structured Literacy video. Watched them both.
This is interesting, wish curriculum were aligned with the truly Phonological Awareness scope and sequence.
Thank you. This is so comprehensive and rich information
U r the best 👌 👍
Great tutorial, thank you.
I'm taking LETRS training now. I appreciate you sharing a review of Drs. Tolman and Moats work with your subscribers!
I absolutely loved the LETRS training - I had learned a lot about phonemes in English and phonemic/phonological awareness in my undergrad (a LONG time ago lol), but LETRS helped me really piece it all together when teaching!
Yes, me too! The training has been excellent though! Love your content!
Im thinking about taking the training but i'm not a current teacher, would I still be able to do it?
Very informative thank you ❤️❤️
Fascinating!🖤 I'm a 7th grade teacher in the Philippines, but this will surely help me for intervention purposes! I enjoyed this video so much! Thank youuu
Hi Mel! I'm glad you found my video helpful and enjoyable 😊
Is there a pdf of this scope and sequence available?
Do you have curriculum that is very helpful to teach these skills?
Hello can I ask you a question, if a kid have a zero background of English, like isn’t familiar with it
How to teach this kids English, how I could start with him, I think making him listening to words that are rhyme like Hall, Ball
Won’t be able to actually recognize a difference between them ?
Is this the right way to start with and eventually he or she will be better or there is another way ?
I mean of course Sounds of letter would be taught first but I think it would be hard too 😢
Please I need your help ? I’m lost
