Despite all of these crazy powerful weapons it didn’t help me feel any less scared. This game was the first to ever scare the crap out of me as an adult. And I still love it to this day! Dead Space will forever be one of the best horror games ever in my eyes.
That was what was really awesome about the weapon combat in the first two Dead Space games, none of the weapons you use are even realistically designed to be used as weapons. So throughout the game you have to convert all your tools to be used as weapons Except for the pulse rifle
I played Dead space 2 dozens of times yet I still have not used every as I always stuck with the plasma cutter and pulse rifle combat, plasma gutter for generally everything and pulse rifle when the enemies are numerous, light weight or just impossible to dismember. Which horrifyingly.... the pulse rifle is exceptional in the day care section.

Except for the pulse rifle
there are a few weapons in the second game yes, however chances are, you most likely more comfortable using them unconventionally.
