Sekolah Alam Pacitan is located on Jl. Brawijaya Balong, Sidoharjo, Pacitan. We have an innovation in the field of technology called STAR Education or Sustainable Technology for education.
This innovation stems come from our anxiety regarding the large amount of paper used. It cannot be denied, in the learning process, an institution cannot be separated from the use of paper. Excessive use of paper can have a negative impact on the environment.
Through STAR EDUCATION innovation, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce paper use. This is an effort to support the SDGs or Sustainable Development Goals through technology-based education.
To realize STAR Education, Sekolah Alam Pacitan collaborate with the School Digital Information System (SIDIGS) application developer which facilitates schools, students and parents to obtain digital educational facilities.
The SIDIGS application for schools has several menus in the form of creating modules, practice questions, learning media, assessments, canteen payments, announcements, teaching modules, attendance and student daily notes.
Meanwhile, for students, at SIDIGS, there is a lesson schedule menu, learning modules, practice questions, discussions, learning media, canteen balance information, attendance, announcements and grades.
Furthermore, SIDIGS for parents has menus such as announcements, student attendance, permission letters, lesson schedules, student performance, chat, finances and bills.
The use of this application has an impact on reducing the use of paper, especially for attendance, doubling practice questions, mid-semester summative and final semester summative at Pacitan Alam School starting from 2021 to 2023.
To monitor and evaluate the use of the application, Sekolah Alam Pacitan carries out observations, interviews and filling out questionnaires.
