You just made the most Luxurious Cat Toilet I've ever seen...at the beginning you were including a Lid and you changed your mind...2 Lids would have equally sufficed and done the same Job at 1/2 the weight...great idea and a Job I'll do...but with a Lid...7 out of 10...could easily have been a 10 ...
I found your channel from looking up "how to repair a hole in drywall" since I'm fixing up my back house and needed a little instruction because my last tenants drove a hole in the wall from a door handle.. I've watched a lot of your other videos.. Proper craftsmanship !! I subbed you mate !! Make sure you're not around when the kids drag their nails across the blackboard !! OUCH !! Your cup of tea = my can of beer..Cheers from Los Angeles !!
mixwell1983 Thanks Mixwell! I'm with you there…..finger nails across a blackboard….never a good sound :-) Appreciate your comment and l hope you can stick around. Cheers
I was concerned about the idea of having a sandbox in the yard after the kids outgrow it. But your suggestion of turning into a garden is absolutely smashing! Great tip knackers!!
Another fantastic video Shane! Awesome tip about the HT=heat treated; I've hesitated using pallets before when I wasn't sure if they'd been chemically treated. Now I can know for sure! Cheers mate.
Good morning man, hope you have a great day. It was just perfect finding you and your awesome videos on UA-cam, I am learning from them. I think you are great and I will share your videos. God bless you and your family.
Bloody awesome and something like that should be protected, Seeing as you have a floor and children don't actually touch the ground ,can I suggest a sprinkle of Termidor in the ground to keep the white-ants at bay as white-ants favourite food is pine pallets. Well done Shane
Thanks Andres. Mate, my Blunnies are on their last legs. I've had them for a few years now and they've been fantastic. I normally wait until they are totally destroyed before replacing them. Cheers
Oh yeah +1 on the pellet chicken coop!!! Looking to buy a coop but much prefer a DIY with a SHANE twist! Also another great job on the sand pit well done.
About that hat!! Stevie's hat was a workmans hard hat adorned with 2 alarm clocks (Paris and New York!!) some, 2 retractable circular shaving mirrors, some curtain tie back tassels and several other things I can't remember. I've met Stevie 4 times now, and lucky enough to own a piece of his artwork. Never a dull moment with Stevie!!
I’m not familiar with power tools at all but are you using a drill, Brad nailer or framing nailer for those awkward tricky places? For example, frame to base?
Hello mate, im about to do some decking using pallets as my base, not going high just one pallet high off the ground then screwing the decking to the pallets. The pallets will be sat on flags which are on top of leveled, flattened soil which I have covered with landscaping fabric, prior to this i removed the grass, rotavated the whole area, the rake and rolled it. The idea being that the flags will keep the pallets just above the ground so most of the rain water can drain away through the fabric into the earth. So i have a question, did you treat the wood that is touching the ground? The reason I ask is because the last thing I want is the base of my deck to be rotting from beneath haha!
G'day Tommy. Any part of the pallet that touches the ground will rot.....especially the pine pallets. In fact any timber that comes in contact with the ground will rot. It all depends on how long you want the deck to last. Good luck. Cheers mate
Thanks for your response mate, i ended up painting the bottoms of the pallets (that which will come into contact with the paving slabs which keep the pallets above the soil) aswell as the support blocks with a front door paint, weatherproof stuff, nice and hardwearing so should hopefully get a little longer out of it with that, someone also suggested bitumen but I had already completed the painting at that point, maybe something i will do later on should the pallets ever need changing, im expecting the pallets to go before the decking planks do
Thanks Steve!....from memory l think l used a longer pallet. If you can't lay your hands on a longer pallet just join two shorter lengths together....make sure you stagger the joins 👍 Have a good one mate and thanks for watching 👍😁🇦🇺
the way you made this looks so easy but too much attention to detail required. I want to make simple sandpit, can you please upload one video showing simple sandpit and a pond too. thanks
I always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming. One question: the nail gun you use, can you give a make and model I would like to find one similar if possible in the states.
G'day Glockman. The gun is a Paslode 16 Gauge Bradder which l've had for about 6 years now. It's been a pretty good gun. If you do get one, make sure you keep up all the recommended services. As soon as the gun gets a bit dirty inside, it will start to play up. Hope that helps and thanks for the comment. Cheers mate.
Love your videos only thing I don't like is your slogan great tip knackers which is loud annoying and ear piercing... But a small price for a good video and ideas. Sorry I was mean.

Hi knackers great job. Are the long sides made from a bigger pallet or are you joining two together?
Thanks Steve!....from memory l think l used a longer pallet. If you can't lay your hands on a longer pallet just join two shorter lengths together....make sure you stagger the joins 👍 Have a good one mate and thanks for watching 👍😁🇦🇺

Glockman5000 No worries mate.
Hey man! Can u do a video on making a couch?
There is a possibility of one down the track. I'll add it to the list :-) Cheers
I was thinking about this but are they coded with some kind of termite or bug and fire retardant?
Go for the ones that have the stamp HT (Heat Treated)
How about building a pallet chicken coop next ??
Good idea but there is one little problem…l don't have any chickens:-)
Good
Cheers mate
how long did this actually take you? single mom with no building knowledge and want too try and make this for my kids💯
Hi Oreo. It took me a good weekend and that's without sourcing the materials. Good luck and well done on having a go! Cheers 👍
Love your videos only thing I don't like is your slogan great tip knackers which is loud annoying and ear piercing... But a small price for a good video and ideas. Sorry I was mean.
