What a lovely Saturday morning treat! I could watch your videos all day.
Aww thank you Jane! 🥰
Excellent video !! You’re work is lovely!
Beautiful. I thought white was not a great color for a Rose, but I was wrong. Looks fantastic.
Oh my gosh! This one turned out just as beautiful in white as it did in the pink! That's it, I'm purchasing this pattern right now! ❤❤❤
🤗🤗 Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for all the tips
Thank you! You are so welcome 🤗
I would love a list of your tools and iron. Your work is beautiful! Your videos so helpful
Thank you so much! I'm glad to be helpful! If you look at the description of this video and click on the "linktree" link, there's a link to "my favorite tools and supplies." There's also a more detailed list of things I use on my main shop website.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass thank you!
I like the waterglass with a slight ripple to it. I've used that same white waterglass for small suncatchers, along with color waterglass.
Hi! Amazing videos, you are a great teacher! What kind of jump rings do you use? Thank you!
Hi! Thank you so much! So sometimes I buy premade jump rings from Etsy or "anything in stained glass" and sometimes I make my own by wrapping 16 or 18 gauge copper wire around something round, like a sharpie or pen.
Hi, Samantha. Love your videos. What size tip do you have on your hakko?
Hi! It's the T-19 D-32, so it's 3.2mm.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass thank you!!
What wipes did you use? Sounded like klorox? Not a shelf brand in uk but available on amazon. Did I hear right?
Yes, Clorox wipes!
Hi Samantha, I have a quick question. I've been using Sharpie paint markers for a while now (thank you for the recommendation) and they while they work well while they're working and they don't come off when I'm grinding, I find they often give out on me out of the blue, which is frustrating when I'm in the middle of cutting. Even brand new ones are really sporadic as far as how well the ink flows. I'd like to find an alternative so that I have a "back up" marker. I'm wondering, have you found any other markers that have the same permanence as the Sharpie oil-paint ones? As always, thank you so much for all your help!
Oh that's frustrating! I haven't experimented with any other markers because the sharpie ones work so well for me, but I know some people who really like the Milwaukee tool inkzall markers. They've been on my list to try.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass Perfect, I'll see if I can find those, that's great! Maybe I've just been unlucky with my Sharpies and have been getting ones that were on the shelf too long :) Thanks again and take care!
Samantha I love your videos! Can you tell me about how long it actually took to do this piece from start to finish ?? It really came out pretty! I wish I had the patience to do this :)
Aww thank you! I never do a project from start to finish the same day, I jump all over the place, but looking at all the footage I recorded, I would estimate that this piece took a little over two hours? Grinding and foiling definitely take me the longest, but it only took about 30 minutes to solder.
I had a good time watching the video
I have a question
What is the name of the copper tape winding tool?
Thanks! I assume you're talking about the yellow tool I use to fold over and burnish the foil? I can't find that exact tool anywhere (it was my grandpa's), but you're generally going to use either a fid or burnisher.
Lovely piece of art... i want to learn.. Can you pls suggest me any Art institute for staimed glass
The best thing you can do is search for a stained glass studio near you that offers classes, so you can try the craft out. Most larger cities have glass studios.
May I ask what size the two small rings for hanging that you use? 1cm?
