The sound 5-6 years ago was waaaay better. Anything pre steam audio was better. Audio has only gotten worse the more they"ve worked on it

The timer for the raids is fine... Not everyone has 3000+ hours of play time and knows maps like the back of their hands and where all the loot spawns... I'm so tired of streamers pushing their ideals on games when their ideals are so far from the norm because they play it every single day all day.
hes expressing his discontent with the pace of the gameplay. If he was really in charge he probably wouldn't make the raid timer shorter because he would be more considerate of players that aren't him.

Before I quit I had a 70% SR for like 3 wipes because I play slow and take my time (solo), almost always extracted with 5 minutes left in a raid and felt rushed to get there. Was always busy looting/healing/packing mags especially the last wipe with scavs constantly spawning, so I would have liked longer raids but I get why people want shorter timers.
The only problem with that playstyle is that if you spend 40 minutes in a raid and die then that was the least productive 40 minutes of your life haha

Let me start off by saying if the audio worked better than it does, I don't think anyone would be arguing about running at all or trying to make it faster paced.
I don't know about everyone else, but I run to get through open areas, known sight lines of other players, during fights, and to catch up to where a squad mate is if I am not solo. Other than that I am walking and looting. I don't understand why that is a problem. Trying to go faster is a riskier way of playing, but you will get to places faster than those that are taking it slower.
On raid times... if it was five minutes less I think it would be fine. Otherwise it would mess with the predictability of PMC movement, and would make it so player scavs just can't really loot as much, or they would have too much interaction time with PMCs if they didn't cut their raid time.

For the record there are actually two different scav health pools you can spawn with though I'm not sure if your rep actually makes it so you're more likely to get the higher health pool one though.
20:15 No way...If they were shorter, people new to the map wouldn't have time to find their quest items or wouldn't have time to get the kills they need. Also, it gives people more time to take their time instead of running everywhere and getting ratted. You do it yourself on some raids - you walk instead of run. Imagine people who do that and aren't familiar with the map? I always extract when the timer is red.

Wait i thought that because of old ranges with headsets you could just hide in a bush and listen for anyone coming to you from far away. Also i thought everyone ratted because of armor. Also i thought it's because of inertia (was reduced 10 separate times already).

can u explain to me why are u taking 5 mags to every gun? when most of the fight u just use 2 and u can load them after it? if u die u just lose a lot money ( when u play like in the video sr3m ) and ammo
If you get into multiple fights in a short period or an extended fight, you're gonna want those mags.

if you have money just have the extra mags. less time loading magazine and solo you use a lot of ammo looking for pvp. I usually bring 3 60 rounders and sometimes that's not enough for suppressing and misses.
Shorter raid times would put new players and people with 9-5's at an even greater disadvantage. Hard no on shorter raid times.
I should mention, in my opinion, that longer raid times would really only benefit good players who seek pvp fights. Some people don't exactly want engagements as much as others when their doing tasks.

I will play only Vanilla tarkov. I don't even have EOD so I start with Alpha container. Feels so good being able to get the Beta container from LVL2 PK. It feels good to drop blue men because I usually go in with low tier loot.
For some reason 9/10 times I go in Juiced I just get 1 tapped and get no good PVP. If i go in with rat gear I always end up snowballing. Crazy how this game has so many different ways to play it. Like I think some people just use snipers on woods all day lol.

Reducing the raid times for all maps by 10 minutes would have another huge impact that I don't think anyone picked up on...
Server load. Servers might genuinely feel a bit better by reducing raid times, as the servers would be busy for less time. Allowing more to spawn under the same load (accommodating more raids), or reducing overall load for the same amount of raids.
That only works if the servers resources are being maxed out, but most servers either are bad from the minute you load in or are fine for the whole raid. If it were a resources thing then some servers would get worse later into the raid, and the raids that start off bad would get better as other raids finish and more resources become available.
I could be wrong here, but this is just my experience when it comes to Tarkov servers being terrible, I do not think that it is the servers being busy but rather the servers being terrible in general.
BSG supposedly did that for PVE but I would argue that it is bad since I felt like I had to rush through every raid because there wasn't enough time to loot and do quests. Had to often choose between those.
This + nerfing audio (but still have it consistent plz BSG) and increasing base stamina would make the game a lot more fun
Nah, PVE had short raid timers to lessen server load before it was changed to localhost. And let me tell you, it was NOT fun at all.
Wouldn't that have the opposite effect? If questing takes 10 mins and the server is up for 30 mins the server has 20 mins low load. If raid time is reduced the server would have 10 mins low load before resetting.

Honestly, I think the raid times are fine because everyone is at different skill levels, and it's pretty unfair to shorten the time to someone who just picked up the game or someone who has a style of playing slower. Like even myself I have 3k hours which I know isn't nothing compared to day one people but sometimes I'm either playing it slow and I need most of the raid time or I can get out within 10 to 15 minutes. Idk man is my answer as well 😂.

No, not all of us are fucking streamers to play this game 10h/day. Progressing with arena is easy and making this game easier to these ppl.
It also isnt as OP as some say. You get levels and some money. You can make more money via scav runs. Levels matter way less too because youre still trader locked via tasks which you cant do while on arena. It's all actually fairly balanced. Only problem I have with arena is that it divides the pvp playerbase during a time when the playerbase is already small because of pve. Game is mostly dead raids already and its not even late into wipe yet.
@@T3chnici4n if you have arena, chances are you have eod, which has i think .2 starter rep for every trader, which easily translates into lvl2 traders right from the get go, if you play arena and powerlevel through it
anyway, i agree the main problem is divided playerbase which leads to dead raids

21:15 If you are done questing early, GTFO yourself. Don't need to force everyone else to leave the raid just because you get bored quicker in raids. I always take the entire time in a raid because I'm either taking a long time to find my quest items or I'm looting the bodies that chads like you don't bother with.
People are really picking up the walk meta. I had 2 juiced as fuck PMC's walk up the stairs at post office on streets and I thought they were SCAVS.
I actually disagree I always have more fun when I get to run out my raid timer. On bigger maps playing solo I like having time to maneuver and look for people. Sorry Tony I just don't agree but I know you're coming from a PVP focused point of view, but I want more time to quest and such.
I agree with you. I enjoy having that extra time to explore. Although I think tony just wants shorter timers so people will move and not just stay still until 5 mins then leave. I experienced that for the first time yesterday. Some guy sat in three story for nearly 20 minutes with me not even knowing he was there and he stood still the entire time on 3rd floor not making a sound.
Yeah dude I was really enjoying Tarkov before this wipe, but the audio changes are dog water. I don’t hear somebody and then it’s (head, ears). My squad have just been running arena when we get the fps itch.
Audio is too much a part of the gameplay strategy. It should help create an emersive environment. Shouldnt be the only startegy for firefights. Even the mortars sound weak and have no depth. They should be aiming for something more like hell let loose, where the explosions scare you and concuss. This new wipe is trash.

If they fix those issues or improve them a LOT. I'll play the pvp mode. For now I get pvp from arena. And play pve. I like the boost from arena in the pvp base game as it makes it much easier for someone like me who has only 2 or 3 hours a day to play, but eft pvp just not worth it at all with all the issues. I hope they keep the arena to eft transfer. Maybe nerf it a tiny bit.

The SCR-3M is a really fun gun, I either name them that, or SCR-4M for my loud version. It's a real shame they left R or 4 out, SCREAM, or SCRAM, it's just a great name if you're into that old school numbers=letters l33t stuff.
