Next patch BSG will add flare that summons tactical nuke l.
Would actually be hilarious if they did a “nuke” event and when it goes off it just hard crashes everyones’ pc in the raid 😭

A mortar landing next to you but not getting killed is a great feeling
I think to make map transition more appealing would be to add an xp boost for transitioning and you can grab a small limited amount of items from the stash like in a 3x3 or possibly a 5x5 slot so you can grab a handle full of items for the next raid like meds, stims , Ammo, maybe a new set of armor or helmet.
both of my extracts where closed with 1:13 I was at old gas station no green flare was on and I had two intel folders I was so sad to know I was about to lose it all but I remembered the transit and made it to factory and extracted from gate 3 was a good show glad they added the transit it has helped and saved me :D
It would be cool if map transitions gave you specific spawns based off of what map you came from that way you can sort of chose your spawn while taking a bigger risk by not being able to visit your stash and resupply your gear.
Tbf the transit part actually came in handy. I spawned up by water treatment and forgot that I did so, ran up to northern checkpoint heavy asf with 3 minutes left. Wasn't my extract.....BUT there was a transit part there so I just took that to the next map to avoid the MIA.
Does transit count as survive and extract if you die in the place you transitioned to?

Half the time the scavs in the area that's getting bombed won't spawn till after the mortars are done :/
A cool idea for the transit system is to give yourself like a loot multiplier per transition you've done, increase your odds of rarer items when looting items
They said "release" it will be like you HAVE to go map to map, finding traders and finding the safe zones, So marathon is just the early testing version of that. Will be interesting to see if it even ends up to be like that or how they can even do it

I've been away from tarkov since the whole unheard edition thing except for trying a few raids after the wipe. This infinite scav run thing sounds pretty fun, though. Almost like a Tarkov rogue-like
Could be in a building and pop a blue smoke and everyone camping out or trying to fight you from outside have no choice but to start running away or in the building, either way you get free shots on them

Can using the 3:40 map transit? It actually counts as a death Not a survive so by using the transit it will tank your survival rate

Dunno why they don’t remove that survive and extract requirements like I’ve marked all the tanks just let me complete the quest even if I die , some quests do it so why not all

If you dont extract from the relevant map, you technically arent following the task instructions anyway

i was scav playing on reserve and than i found a GPU in the first loot (sport bag) but all my extractions was red and unavailable. My only choice was transfer to other map and die
about the transit system, going from 1 map to another doesnt count as a Survive and extract for the first map even if you extract from the second map. I went to shoreline cause i had to extract for peacekeeper and mechanic after completing tasks for them that required surviving the raid, I took transit from shoreline to lighthouse and after extracting lighthouse i didnt finish those tasks because of taking transit

While I don't mind being able to drop a mortar on my position for defense or anything, it definitely feels a little exaggerated even more so than COD mortar killstreaks lol.

Or if you want real life examples look at the middle east or east asia with how easy it is to create mortars. They are the cheapest artillery in modern use.

Yeah that's not a good incentive.
Most mortars are audible. You can hear the actual mortar go boom a good few seconds prior to the munition landing on you and then the munition is subsonic so you can hear a whistling or woosh as it comes down at you. Seems like Tarkov needs to fix their audio before trying to even attempt to implement stuff like this

@@bbbelt_far I’ve been around since .08 and I’m still throughly enjoying the game. I think a lot of people are just burnt out on the game from playing it too much including landmark.
If you got into the game earlier, you would’ve been playing nearly the exact same game but with 30-40 minute queue times between each raid and I am not exaggerating one bit. This is as good of a time to play Tarkov as any imo.

You can, there is a quest where you can pick up special flares on shoreline and use them to call mortars

Also a grizzly isn't exactly cheap and you need a 2x2 slot in your rig to use it with a number bind.

Compared to other maps streets is bad but overall i get 120 on streets on ULTRA so might be a your pc problem

Also buzzes if you’re in dangerous area, so if you’re on the edge it could keep you alive. It also tells you where it is , which is sometimes nice depending on where you are if you’re really far

I gotta disagree for bsg to have to nerf turn speed....they r trying for realism and if you have ever wore a helmet thats actually heavy you would know looing around with it is horrid. U dont turn your head so its gonna just be ur whole body in game. I own a genuine altyn (export without mic aka k6-3) and it is really fucking heavy....i have wore it for hours at a time and its not too bad if spaved out but i can see having heavy penalties.....a fast helmet is light as hell but even then i also own a fat multi hit face shield and they are also really heavy amd awkward to wear since they are so front heavy. People also complain that the face shields super dirty and while i agree they forget that bsg could also add fogging from your breat cuz even with a fave mask it will still fog up bad

I think this specific mechanic just don't belong in Tarkov. For it to work, building and terrain destruction becomes necesary. Just my opinion...
It can work as a defensive strat, just needs to be toned down extremely. like maybe 4 or 5 mortar strikes.
