      Great job there, you two! I was rooting that one of you'd mention the presence/absence of a display/profile picture as one of the factors for a spam account alert

    cheers bro! This guy has been a pivotal figure in my data science career...I started as a joke, but because to him, I believe I made the ideal choice to pursue a profession in data science......and woow here I am today working for one the top companies here in Kenya as a data scientist

    Great video! I have a question about the scenario. What's the purpose of implementing an ML model when the methods discussed to collect training data (X # of times reported OR reporting to engagement ratio) suffice?
    In other words, wouldn't the method used in collecting training data be the method by which you determine whether an account is spam or not? If so, then what's the purpose of creating an ML model?

    I am a data scientist (with PhD level education and work experience) in the UK and applying to a job which would sponsor a H1B visa if successful. Does anyone have any specific advice for how to tailor my CV(resume) for this?

    Wonderful! Is this how the data science interview goes for fresh grad students in the industry or this mock interview is for one with some experience in ds field?

    • @KeithGalli
      @KeithGalli  Рік тому +1

      Glad you enjoyed! You might have an interview like this as a fresh grad, but the overall expectations for how detailed your responses should be would be lower.

    Just discovered your channel. You seem like a cool knowledgeable person on this topic. So im wondering if you can help me with a question i have. So I am a recent graduate in Computer Science and want to instead go into Data Science industry instead of the traditional Software Developer/ Software Engineer career. So as someone like me who eventually one day wants to work in data science industry, is there an entry level job role that one can apply as a starting point and just get promoted/ level up to a data science in time rather than just trying to apply for a data science position from the get go? I dont mind starting at the bottom and working my way up the ladder. If anyone else have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it?

    • @KeithGalli
      @KeithGalli  Рік тому +1

      Hey! Glad you found the channel. My recommendation would probably be to try to find startups that are doing cool data science work. Because there are less employees, each person has a greater variety of responsibilities. When interviewing you can mention your interest in data science. You probably will have to start in a more focused software role, but you should be able to help out on the data science side and over time that can become a more and more prominent part of your role until you ideally have a data scientist title.

    Could computer science be taken to learn data science?

    • @KeithGalli
      @KeithGalli  Рік тому

      Definitely! From what I've seen most computer science programs give you the flexibility to take a good amount of data sciency classes (there's a lot of overlap).
      Computer science is the foundation of data science so it's a good thing to study.
