Makes me wonder if one of these 57’s used to be mine, had 2 of them in early 80’s my first car, but I sold em I was 15 damn I miss those cars 🇺🇸Semper Fi
BTW...it's a bad idea to blip the throttle and then shut the car off. What you're doing is fuelling the cylinders with gas that won't get all burned off...and instead will run down the cylinder wall, wash oil off , and leak past the rings into the oil pan to dilute the oil there.
A guy in the town I live in has a factory all original 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop 283 fuel injected automatic it’s silver with orange interior it’s a very rare car
Hey Nick man I love that 1957 chevelle Belair another great automobile from maple motors I believe they are the greatest own earth don't need to go anywere else folks thanks Nick brother
Midnight Gambler, why do you think that? '57 was the first year the 283 was offered, and the last year the 265 was offered. I have a '57 Nomad that came from the factory with a 265 and a 3 speed with overdrive.
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate The stamped code on the block quickly tells the story of engine size. Every V8 in '57 was a 3731548 casting. The stamped code is the only way to know the cubic inches, unless you take it apart and measure. Both are great motors.

The hidden fuel filler is even better on the '56.

They will never be a car like a 1957 Chevrolet

Unmolested car
".... Sitting on a couch, driving a car." Hahaha
oneito tiger have you never heard that expression before ?
Yes sir, many times specially on old Impalas and Cadys. 👍 🤣
oneito tiger ok I was like dang surely to god it ain’t just a Tennessee and Southwest Virginia sayin
Nah Brother... the first time I actually heard it was back in '81, in Cali with my friend's father driving a '68 4 door hard top Impala. Lol
Love that 57
57 is a beautiful car
Thank you
Vacum wipers!
Cool! If it were mine, I'd go with steel wheels and white wall tires & stock wheel covers. Custom wheels look good, but I'd go original. Sweet '57!!
I’m the guy that says even a Prius would look good with coke bottles!
(Maybe a bit of a stretch)
Nice 57 " Slick paint ..
Straight body for black paint job...👌
Looking fine
Nick, very nice, new gas tank....for all that good soup, better than launching it in the back seat as you cut a corner
That's a sweet ride 57s are so beautiful. And the horn works.
if you buy this nice car, you could Rod it out or restore it for car shows. If were me, I rod it out. This car is a chick magnet.
Vacom run on wipers
Nice!!!
Nick, I've watched so many of your test drives I know my way around town by now (gas station, church parking lot, bump in the road, etc).
Need to set the idle down on that one nick.
Where is this dealership located?
Hendersonville ,TN maplemotors.com

If it's original, then the orange is probably a faded red. No orange interiors on the 57s.

I'm looking for a 56 bel air
I got one in my back yard, it in primer with a blue title in SA , Tx
Sounds like glass packs. Sweet
thats a bit of me nick love it.
It *should* be a 283
Should be could be
Flagged as a 283/ gold trim
@@hotrodray6802 Gold trim signifies it's a BelAir.

Maybe 15000.
Already sold , & sold fast
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate It was a nice driver
They used both the 265 and the283 in 57 the V on the front hood or the trunk in silver meant it was a 265 if it was gold it was a 283
The vee color doesn't have anything to do with the cubic inches. All Belair V8s had the gold vee, and all 210 and 150 V8s had the chrome vee.
I see Dan beat me to it.
@@danjanes8689 Yup and not only that but trim can easily be changed out over the years
283 ?
265
265
283
Gold trim is 283
But it's 62 yrs old. Who knows.
@@hotrodray6802 trim color has zero to do with 265/283. The "vee" signifies it had a V8. Gold for Bel Air, silver for 150/210.
