Urgh a music war is the first time I ever heard XTC. So many great bands. Gary Numan was excellent. The Fleshtones, Gang of Four, X, Dead Kennedys. So many. Worth the watch.

Sorry to correct you dude but Manson was in jail before the Beach Boys were famous. Their association is that when Manson was paroled and went to San Francisco in 1967 he befriended a music producer who was friends with Dennis Wilson, drummer for the Beach Boys. Manson supplied the cult girls and Wilson & Melcher, the producer, provided the drugs for orgy parties. When Wilson and Melcher stopped hanging out with Manson, he felt betrayed and killed Tate believing Melcher lived in that house.
