I did a productive struggle after my startup when I realized that I wouldn't be competing and didn't want to chase other guys. I just kept good QBs and WRs and got rid of everything else. Went from D. Watson, Lance, Brian Rob, Drake, Burks, Olave, Wandale, Pittman, McBride plus 8 23 1sts (1.01-1.06, 1.08, 1.09) and 1 2nd (finished last place last year) to Hurts, Burrow, D. Watsons, Levis, CMC, Bijan, Barkley, Ceedee, Olave, G. Wilson, DJ Moore, Puka, Downs, Wandale, Hockenson, Mcbride. No 1sts in 24 now, but someone elses's in 25. 1st regular season winner, but finished 2nd in the finals. Flipped most of those picks and players to level up at positions. So it almost worked to perfection. My 2nd dynasty team I am in a similar situation as last year with having 6 1sts this year (1.01, 1.02, 1.04, 1.08, 1.09, 1.11), plus a couple 2nds and 3rds, 3 1sts in 25 and 2 1sts in 26 with a solid WR & TE core to work with. So, definitely don't make all of those picks and wait until near or at the draft to trade the picks :)
Ive been playing fantasy football since we had to have a newspaper to score. this is some of the overall best advice for almost anything but redraft. great work here.
traded up last year, got Chase and Justin Herbert. My team was pretty good until Nick Chubb got injured and both Cam Akers and Najee didnt really turn out too well. So yeah dont give up a whole lot to trade up, im down my first rounder this year lol.
Great presentation guys
Appreciate you!
Traded last year In to the late 4th to get Kyler in a startup
Hey guys loving the channel and commitment to answering questions! Was wondering if I should trade Achane for Garrett Wilson and a 2025 first in dynasty SF?
100% the Wilson and pick side!
Who would you target if you were me with a 1.11 and 2.02? The top tier will be gone for sure just not sure if I should target a single QB or go with two.
My biggest mistake in fantasy is passing on people who come in after an injury and play good but then the injured player comes back i pass on them because I don't think they can keep the same productivity just like puka or zach moss or jerome ford
Hi love your content. I have a question though. You keep saying in videos that you're gonna wait until free agency to trade for a certain position or certain positions, but is it not smarter to do your startup draft after the draft and free agency to see where everyone goes? When is the best time to do a startup draft? I remember last year, we did it in like august. That way we had a clear picture of which players are in the best position. Thanks!
Start up I would definitely wait until after the draft and possibly pre-season. I think the trade for player caveat is more for trading for players with less certain contract insulation or depth chart positioning, specifically for RB.
Pros and cons to before and after free agency. The nice thing about early offseason drafts is that rookie picks haven't hit their peak value yet, so you're essentially getting a value discount. Also free agency uncertainty can help you get guys like Tee Higgins at a discount! There are players who decrease in value significantly after free agency too, and that's the downside. There's no right answer, I'd probably just do both!
My League startup is using kickers as rookie picks. I for sure want MHJ. wouldn't mind Drake Maye. Imavoiding Williams at all costs. How early do you think I need to draft a kicker/rookie pick
Piece of history/advice - lots of people were avoiding CJ Stroud at all costs last year... and Garrett Wilson the year before that...and Chase before that... and on
My current situation is interesting. I'm in the middle of a rebuild in a .5 PPR 12-man league. I have the 1.01, 1.04, and 1.05, plus the 2.01. Debating on trading down from the 1.01 to the 1.02 and picking up some extra capital. Here's my team, let me know your thoughts.
QBs: Bryce Young, Russ
RBs: Breece, Pacheco, Brian Robinson, Roschon, Chase Brown, Abanikanda
WRs: Nico Collins, JSN, Zay, Jameson Williams, Jalin Hyatt, Demario Douglas
TEs: Njoku, Kincaid
Debating heavily between Caleb and MHJ at the 1.01. Have a feeling Brock Bowers gets taken at the 1.03, but if not, he'll be picked at my 1.05.
In SF, take Caleb, in 1 QB, go MHJ. Shoot for Nabers at 1.04 if he falls to you, and Maye or Odunze at 1.05
@@thedynastydomain league is a 1QB, 1 Flex, 2 RB, 2 WR, and 1 TE. So yeah I’m looking very likely at MHJ at the 1.01, and probably Drake Maye at 1.04. I will likely have the option of either Nabers, Odunze, and Bowers at the 1.05. Debating on Bowers, but wondering if that’s possibly putting too much value on my team at the TE spot.
just traded pollard for spears straight up after taking an L trading for pollard on a mid season championship push
Grade my startup trade: (12 team PPR supeflex)
CD+my 14th,17th
For
Burrow+18th
My only other pick so far is Chase.
Bonus: I’m on the clock now, do I take Purdy, Dak, or Fields as my QB2?
Take Purdy. Would lean the Burrow side, it's a crap shoot after the 7th round in startups.
Looking to trade cmc. Would you do breece or Jt straight up or try to tier down and gain draft picks?
As a rebuild, draft picks are always the best option at this point in the offseason
Traded Love and 1.09 for Dak, 1.07 and 3.04… thoughts? I probably lost the trade but Dak is my favorite qb ever and I already have Purdy, Richardson and 1.02 after winning it all
You fleeced them
It's fair. We like Love, but Dak is also safe
Hey guys just started playing dynasty and been enjoying your channel, was wondering if y’all answer comment questions so I’ll shoot my shot. SF league with 3 flex spots should I trade Joe Burrow and Deandre Swift for Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young, and the 1.03?
I say yes, 1.03 should be a money QB
Yessir, I'd do that deal. Risky, but very high reward
@@thedynastydomain thanks y’all!
I got Gibbs available in 3.08 I’m 4.09. Is it worth trying to trade up? And how much should I offer.
I have tlaw ceede and hall. I think McBride will fall to me as laporta is only TE off the board
We do not recommend trading up in startup drafts
I’m up in a startup draft, which do you prefer In superflex? Bryce young or 2024 1.07
1.07
I’m being the commish for my dynasty league and we’re planning on drafting on February 17th and having our rookie draft be auction. Is that a good idea?
We prefer a standard snake draft with third round reversal for startup draft. Use kickers as placeholders for rookie picks in the draft.
Check out our "How To Play Dynasty" video we released earlier this week! We break down all our preferred settings
@@thedynastydomain why 3rd round reversal?
In a startup where we choose our draft position. 12 Team SF with 3RR where would you prefer to pick?
1.09-1.12
After the 1.01 of course
Did yall factor in TEP into your valuation of TEs vs other positions? All startups im in this year have had it. Seems like it’s becoming commonplace
yessir. we only play TEP, so its baked into all of our content
What is TEP
@@Livvvidtight end plus, means that tight ends get an extra 0.25/0.5/1 point per reception. Depends on the league settings how much exactly
10tm, start 10, 1qb, no tep
1.05 or drake London?
Just won the chip and have a stacked wr room so I wouldn’t mind holding him for a year until Arthur smith is gone
1.05
I drafted just about the best productive struggle
Should i drop Mckinon for Chris Brooks?
Negligible. Probably just take the younger guy
Should I trade Isaiah Pacheco and the 2.03 for AR 5??
Yes
Give up a 2025 1st (likely late) for Diggs? Competing in 2024. 12 team start 8. WR room ARSB waddle Devonta
Diggs is slowing down . He’s 30 , I’d not do that
@@toddage83 thanks. Any difference if he adds in 2025 2nd on top of diggs?
1st for Diggs and 2nd? Yes
Bro just said he was busting on running backs and dipped😂
1Qb startup, I traded 2.06, 3.11, 4.06, 6.06 for the 1.04, 4.13, and 9.04. what do u guys think about that?
Not a big fan of trading up, but that's a fair deal value-wise. Hopefully it pays off for you!
@@thedynastydomainit was a 16 team, forgot to mention that.
I thought Eli Manning turned into a fantasy football youtuber for a second
Lol, we get that one a lot 😂
The disrespect @ 5:16 towards Lamar is actually insane lol
