I really really hope Thiem also watches some of this videos, how close to the baseline he was, returning and also in the rallies. There is no way getting into at least the top 50 again if he keeps grinding from so far back oft the court, where the linesmen are in danger to get run over by him, like the past whole season.
he is already closer :) and he has 2-3 years more with much experience. so hope for the best.
The quality of the point at 7:58 is *extremely high* . Wawrinka basically beating thiem at his own game. Both of these guys have exciting play styles and watching them battling it out like this is incredible. They're also such good representatives of the most beautiful shot in tennis, the one handed backhand 🔥

Wavrinka - arguably the most successful player outside the big three ; & Thiem - up to 2020 , he was the best most complete player of the younger up commers .
