    I just acquired an older dual wheel dual tank electric belt driven compressor and i had no idea about what i had gotten.
    I noticed the sight glass in the pump crankcase and thought hey.....this must be pretty good.
    I absolutely love it!!!
    New paint and decal coming soon.
    It has the dash between Rol and Air.
    Not sure yet what year.

    Can the VT20TB be used for hvlp spraying? Or painting of any kind?

    • @Rolair
      @Rolair  4 роки тому +1

      First, you'll want to check out the requirements for your equipment. The VT20TB delivers 4.2 CFM @ 90 psi. The FC250090L might be a better option because of the larger tank capacity, but it all depends on what you are running. Feel free to let me know and I can help you decide which model would work best!

      @@Rolair I just purchased the VT20TB and am trying to find out what I can do with it. I'm not spraying houses or cars, just small woodworking projects.

    The only thing I don't like about my pancake Rolair is the weight...this thing is a beast for picking up...easy fix though if I fab up a little pull cart similar to what they do on other models. Should be a standard for anything over 50 pounds IMHO though. I've had mine parked in a connex for the past 12 years due to a bad pressure relief valve, but after having a California air (very light and quietest I've seen)...broke in less than 6 months use)...I'm going back to get this ROLAIR back in running shape. pmp11mk200fl is my model number. I got it from Marco Supply down in Chesapeake, VA thru the company I used to work for at the time. Can you Rolair guys date it for me please if provide serial number? If I remember it was over 400 bucks back around 1995 or earlier..

    Can it be used for paint sprayer

    • @Rolair
      @Rolair  5 років тому

      Hi Ajeet. It depends on the model of air compressor and the type of paint sprayer. If you can provide me with information on the type of sprayer being used, I can recommened a model to support it.

      A few of your models look identical too Makita units. And they have a 1 year warranty also. My favorite has been Englo now dewalt but same warranty. I have three electric models. Only replaced one air switch so far with many many hours of use. Whatever you get stay away from oil less units if. Concerned about longevity.

      Stephen Patterson I’m currently researching compressors and one major difference between the ROLAIR and Makita compressors is that all Makita compressors are rated for 50% duty cycle, meaning if you run it more than 30 minutes per hour you are considered to be abusing the machine. Rolair compressors are rated for 100% duty cycle so you can actually continuously spray paint or run tools even from something with a small tank like the one shown in the video. The price is higher but if you want to run it all day and not worry about it being outside of the design specs, that is an advantage for Rolair.

      Pump heads are the same. I run my Mac 700 Makita for hrs while texturing. I can’t believe there’s any major differences.

    • @Rolair
      @Rolair  4 роки тому

      Hello! What kind of oil are you running? If you still have the 30w you'll want to get that swapped out for the cold season. Go with a winter grade oil, or better yet, a synthetic non-detergent pump oil that covers all temp ranges. On top of that, start the compressors up with the tank drains open and allow the oil to get warmed up before closing the drains and getting to work. If you have more questions feel free to email me at davidd@rolair.com .

    *After years of hauling around a large,💫 **allabout.wiki/PORTER** heavy, loud dewalt air compressor (that ironically was advertised as quiet, supposedly 78dB), I bought this. Facepalm. While it is not ‘silent’, I find myself chuckling every time I use it, sparing all my neighbors the terror of my former compressor. I use for inflating tires, impact wrench, finish nailers. Absolutely love it. And I store it under the garage sink in a 24” cabinet. I paired with a coil 1/2”, instead of a my former 50’ 5/8” hose that I had to lug across the yard from the shed, unpleasantly uncoil.... this little guy is light and portable; just a joy. Impact wrench is still capable of easing lug bolts, flywheel bolts, crank pulleys... just allow for a tiny bit of recovery now and then.*
