      Where did you start from.
      I'm wanting to go bikepacking this year.
      I don't have car so need to travel by train or coach.

      @@grumpy-dad3701 Hi mate, at the end of the video I explain where I went and how I got there. I use the trains regularly too. I caught the train to Malton from memory! Head over to the summary section of the video for more details

    Lovely video as always. I'm off to pickering this summer with my bike so this got me excited. One tip I use to inflate my thermarest is a bin bag with a 16mm (I think car radiator hose) secured at the base and use the bin bag to push the air in. Easy on the lungs and doesn't get moisture into the mattress. Keep up the great Films

      Thanks Hedley! It’s a lovely place to cycle, just very steep! 😅

    You can do the route comfortably on a gravel bike, even a hybrid with 32mm tyres if you're careful of the potholes around Ravenscar. On the Ravenscar point, there's a permanent colony of seals on the beach down there that is worth a look. Something to fly your drone over next time you're there maybe!

      Nice! I’d be up for revisiting at some point as I’ve not been since this film was made in 2021!

    Well filmed Tom. Nice drone work too! I’m a hiker and rider so I can’t wait to get back to the North East and do some of this. We were in the UK in 2019 and I walked the Coast to Coast so I recognised the North York Moors. Nice to see you camping 👍 I have a Nature Hike, 1.7kg. I, going to have to get me a bike on my next visit 😂 Thanks for this Tom. I’ll follow! Dave from down-under 🇦🇺

    Another great one.
    I did the cinder trail on my gravel bike earlier in the year in the other direction, it was a very wet day and we had a little less luggage but found it generally ok. In fact it was my brother in laws first non tarmac ride and he only had a couple of moments. He's thoroughly enjoyed it despite the weather.

      Thanks again Richard, it’s definitely doable barring a couple of sections. I had slick 42s with a high psi so perhaps that made it more uncomfortable! Thanks for watching :)

    You clearly took a lot of time in putting that video together, thank your. It was so peaceful to watch. I am just getting my head around video editing and have one frustration when ,travelling how do you transport your camera, I have yet to find a way to make my camera quickly accessible without having to undo millions of straps,.

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Graham. Glad you enjoyed it! I actually put my main camera in the top pocket in the pannier. It’s not super accessible but it’s not too bad. I then have a tripod strapped to the top of that. Bit fiddly but I am yet to find a better way with a quality set up!

    You can bypass bits of the cinder track on the adjacent roads and/or the beach at Boggle Hole (at low tide) but you'd still need low enough gearing to get up 33% climbs...

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  2 роки тому

      Yes very true… the track seems to be the more fun option but not perfect!
