according to the director's interview, this scene apparently takes place 8 years after the ending of the main Parasyte story(whether it's the manga, anime, or the movie). Not sure if this is correct or makes sense.
But nevertheless, this is the first time we get to see Shinichi as an adult, instead of a high school student.
It would be great to see a team-up between Shinichi/Migi and Su-In/Heidi for a potential season 2, which the director said he has few ideas for it.
That wouldnt make sense lmao. If all the parasites arrived on earth at the same time then time wouldnt make sense

This scene is 8 years after the main story but the series took place at the same time as Shinichi's story. Is not that hard to understand.
@@dopanimetvBut that would mean, Su In is 37 yrs old at the time of this scene, since she was 29 in grey, and Captain Choi doesn't look much older either. In the first place, whats the point of showing a scene 8 yrs from now, when its clear its only been at most a month after the grey incidents, which is an ideal time gap to add another layer to the story. The story diverges from the main story line of the manga, or at least doesn't follow the Gotou fight, thats an if, hope its not just bad writing.
Although, Parasytes were never revealed to the general public in the anime either, so they can squeeze it, somewhat.
Edit: I just rewatched the anime after this series, and they did mention America plans to use Parasytes as weapons, it was quickly forgotten in all the chaos in mc's life, but thats really important. Overall it'll be a good material for the next season.

@@LemGameplay I was thinking the same thing. While watching Grey, I was waiting for Heidi's improvement throughout the series. Unfortunately it didn't happen.
I think maybe the writer of the Grey series is indirectly telling us that Heidi is not as superior as Migi. When Migi saved Shinichi, Shinichi became really strong like a superhuman. That's the reason why Tamiya did not kill Migi and Shinichi because she thought the two were very special.
Meanwhile Heidi also healed Suin, but unfortunately Suin did not receive any superhuman abilities.
Also Heidi suffered a major blow of having only 15 mins limit to fight the enemies.
not sure but maybe bc it was suin's stomach area that was stabbed while shinichi was his heart. migi created a new heart for him, and blood flows through the heart then through the body. Or maybe the writers forgot about it, bc suin should be superhuman as well or smth.
I guess the big difference is migi was already mature and a fixed part of shinichi when he needed to fix his injury while for Sun-in/Heidi the parasyte was still a larva form which did not have the right amount of cells to make the body stronger

This is the best parasyte drama that has been made than other parasyte movies even shinichi came
Not really. The Grey lacks the character studies and philosophies The Maxim had, but I could say that The Grey is more digestible for less academic people. Hell, the writing of this show is even more anime than The Maxim, which in turn makes this more palatable for more normal audience.
i say it did pretty well and handled all the philosphy and themes very good under such a short run time of 6 episodes, pacing is amazing, everything is logical under stories established rules, characters all amazingly handled, a 10/10

'Coz of his desperation to live and overcoming fear by fully utilizing his superhuman abilities without over relying with Migi is what makes Shinichi a formidable ally and somewhat the strongest character in Parasyte universe.
I think Migi is still there, as far as i remember migi saved Murano at the last scene of the Anime

this Netflix series made me wanna watch again Parasyte: The maxim. I hope we get many season with interesting convergence between Migi and Heidi, and a villain parasyte where it successfully takes over a high profile human Host.

@@hitokiribattousai1956 Nah Gotou is just too much of a beast compared to anyone else, like grey team would get wiped if they fought against him that much I'm certain. Hell the only reason shinichi won against him was actual luck, though now with Shinichi on the team I'm hoping for a stronger variant to come out.
