    i can't wait for their next game too, the big procedural single planet fantasy game they announced. I think after learning their lesson with NMS has taught them so much, and this next game will (with some optimism) actually be amazing

    It might be a little weird to bring her up, but I remember how ProjektMelody stressed when she first blew up...
    Your talk of all it takes to run a community that large. I remember her talking about how she was going to make 5k subs a goal, but then hit 250k in like 2 weeks.

    If the game were to first release in 2023, it wouldn't have worked. They would have ended up like Star Citizen. Working on a game for years doesn't necessarily mean you can create something most people would want to play. Sean essentially outsourced idea farming to the customers. Everyone kept shouting at him what to add and all he had to do was to make a laundry list of the most requested features and add them in. Normally idea farms and think tanks work for money. We gave all ideas to them for free! It's one of the reasons they could keep their dev team small.
