Hi Aram, I’ve been enjoying learning from your videos. I am 56 year old, and have been rowing on a C2 for 7 months now. I am always looking for teaching tidbits on the proper muscle mechanics and you certainly are excellent at that! Do you have, or can recommend, any teachings that do focus on linear erg muscle mechanics? I appreciate you so much! Thanks :) Caroline

Love your videos, I've been having issues with my shoulder/ arm positions after returning to rowing from a long break & they've been so helpful!
If you redo the shoulder video, would you be able to demonstrate technique on a sweep blade in addition to sculling blades? Thanks!

Hey Aram - very interesting video! Do you happen to have any strength exercises that help with shoulder stability (that translate well to rowing)?

Thank you Aram... excellent info and drills. Concept 2 erg is resistant to non linear patterns, given that I currently have no choice with my 3 x 1 hour per week four stroke cycle pre outing sessions, I am using strokes 3 and 4 to bring erg handle around torso, which is advantageous. I am also focusing on visualising the extension of muscle groups (arms through shoulders) building latent power. Bear in mind I am training for 50k plus racing. A rushed catch and failure to engage steadily before drive is a recipe for marathon sculling failure!
Bear in mind I'm in process of rebuilding core in this short demo:
