    I finally had time to watch and I loved it, but I have a question:
    What do u think is the easiest way to align to crafts on the roll axis?

    • @DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL
      @DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL  Рік тому +2

      Assuming I’m getting this correct the easiest way would to be to dock and then temporarily undock and use either a gyro or rcs to spin to the correct angle, you could also do this before docking tho it could be a little harder

      @@DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL actually I thought of adding a rotator, but I guess docking and undocking should be easier. Thanks

      @DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL  Рік тому +1

      @@user-if2ru9sd2t I’ve seen others use that method before so don’t count it out, it might be a little unstable tho at times

    So the method here is that I approach the same orbit and get as close as possible to the target, then turn my craft's head toward the target, then turn the target's head toward my craft, then press Q/E to go forward and let the magnetism do the rest. Do I understand this right?
    It will be much harder if my target is fixed, and I have to move my craft in all directions: left, right, up, down, pitch, and yaw. I guess this is what they do in real life because rotating an entire space station is not a good idea.

    • @DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL
      @DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL  9 днів тому +1

      Yeah I believe you can also use the U and J keys (might be the wrong ones) so move in a specific direction easier, also irrc the space station moves into a special orientation that makes it easier for spacecraft to dock before hand, during docking the space station doesn’t need to move at all since it’s not very nimble compared to a docking spacecraft plus it makes things less confusing and complicated

      I have just built the first space station thanks to your tutorial. The pair succeeded in the first fight (with several quick saves).
      I landed on Cylero (Mars) multiple times, but never succeeded in docking with the station before. In the game, imo, docking is way more difficult than traveling in space lol.
      Thank you again!

      Make sure you turn rcs translation mode on, and to go forward and backward with rcs it should be Q and E keys

    9:18 when I target a docking port it actually targets beside it, meaning I can't dock with this method :(

      That’s strange, maybe try it with a different craft to see if it’s a bug

      @@DeepSpaceIndustriesLOL hi there, i tried again, it still had the bug, but i was able to rotate it manually, and i successfully docked. Thanks for the tutorial!
