Nice job ! blow downs have so many obstacles ,twisting , pressuers in all directions.. what species is the smooth bark looks like maple or beech?In centeral wisconsin usa , we get some straight winds that really make a mess of things. .

Isn't a maple I think it's a beechnut tree or birch
In german its called "Buche" very dense hardwood.
Gives a very nice almost white furniture wood.
Burns very long to.
Oak is there as well.

Finaly!!! GOOD VIDEO! This is real work in forest - dificul situations in any conditions. More video like this, because videos where are filming how to cut trees are BORING! Cut trees its a not hardest work! Hardest work starts when tree is on ground!
I don't agree with you on that when the tree snags ahold at the top of a other tree that's a challenge to deal with when there's so many other ones in the way you just cut it if it snags a other good tree then you gotta cut that one to get it to meet the ground.
That's some real brain work you gotta go with a good decision and what tree you have to ruin to get the snagged one down I had to ruin some good walnut tree's.
