The money spent is crazy yet somehow impressive. The breakdown of money spent is very thorough. As a personal opinion the money spent towards improving your account seems very valid but that crystal tech seems to be such a money suck and makes me want to want to avoid that portion of the game at all cost.
The reason I don't spend on video games, especially ones with predatory monetization methods like RoK is because it requires you to not only spend, but spend consistently. If you miss out on the monthly gem packs, daily chests, etc. you will gradually fall behind people that are still spending consistently.
All the whales and dolphins and of course all the F2P, Gather around for a few min with your heads straight and your hand on your wallet (Without spending money you don't have as Chi's says), and lets make good choices and have fun! 😊

Spent around $300-400 total for around 1100 days I've played. That's for 3 T5 accounts (VIP 15) and one farm. My main is getting better at field fights. I still use expertised windswept equipment for mobility. =D I have blueprints and KVK coins for armor and accessories. I have billions of RSS tokens stored. I buy gem supply if I have the need and the budget. I spent $30 last KVK and had fun. I grind out the rest most of the time. I do not compete in MGE. I manage to have fun and help the kingdom at the same time. For comparison, I spent $300, years ago, on two Guns of Glory accounts.... similar game complexities, nowhere near the fun. ROK is still fun for me despite spending minimally. You just need a good, active alliance in a good, stable kingdom.
I spent like 3k USD in 6 months ( during 2020) and I completely stopped playing the game as I thought I was messing up.... and good thing I stopped, I will not DL this thing anymore, it made me feeling bad and all weird. I still enjoy the content!
$2k/mo on ROK is better than $2k/mo on a divorce attorney. I’ve been doing the latter. 7 months and thousands later to land on the original offer I made.
This is an excellent video, over the years I have disciplined myself and I keep my expenses here in check, that and also playing the game the F2P way for the most part seems very gratifying to me. I buy the 14$ Gem pack monthly and call it a day, I am having a lot of fun. ^__^

So the comment I see all the time is why spend this much? To me its fairly simple. Chisgule its a business but what about people like say Bunny, Ticklefist or other whales that dont spend as an expense? How much do you think a wealthy person spends on their hobbies and entertainment? A muscle car they like to fix up, a time share in the Bahamas, etc etc. This is their entertainment and I would argue they probably get more hours of enjoyment out of RoK in a year than they would on a $70k vacation. Its their choice and how they choose to enjoy their money. Its all about personal preference and personal life circumstances. The great thing about this game is you can play as free to play or very low spend and have fun playing with the people who spend 100k. Btw Im in Kraken club...oops. Its how I choose to enjoy my money. And I still give to charity, save and invest. Not just because people spend in a mobile game means they are irresponsible.

lol... 71k... i started playing as a F2P for about half a year.. i knew i couldnt survive in ROK being F2P... now i'm around 100m power and quite active in kvk BUT i think i'm about 25-30k down in the bank balance... i do question whether it's worth spending so much money.. each SOC kvk cost around 1k to max crystals.. i think i am going to go back to being f2p/low low spender soon... i think lilith should make the price of crystals cheaper (maybe $500 to max crystal per kvk sounds more reasonable)
Spreadsheets, they are accountants best friends - and in general many - managers of data love them as well best. They aren't too hard to set up - and will save you so much manual hard labor. I'm a geek accountant who has been home with my kids for 5 years now - I missed spreadsheets and created one for my account. I keep farming data, power data, troop data etc updated for my own curiosity mostly. But I can accurately predict my MGE scores on each event - I never ever break kingdom max mge score rules, but always have at least two events in MGE where I am in top 10-15, while never actually being allowed to finish in top 15 in my kingdom. So my dumb spreadsheet is pretty damn useful, even if it proves I'm a total nerd
