Before you begin, discharge your iPhone battery below 25%. A charged lithium-ion battery can catch fire and/or explode if accidentally punctured.
Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly.
Remove the two 6.7 mm-long Penta lope screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone.
Opening the iPhone will compromise its waterproof seals. Have replacement seals ready before you proceed past this step, or take care to avoid liquid exposure if you reassemble your iPhone without replacing the seals.
There's a black rubber gasket just beneath the head on each Penta lope screw. For maximum protection against dust and liquid, check the condition of the gaskets or replace the screws during reassembly.

I have an iPhone XR that is iCloud locked because I thought it from a lost and found auction. If I buy a motherboard that comes with the Face-ID module and the screen earpiece speaker. What features will I lose and what features will I have still?? Hope you can help 🙏🏼

If I do buy an iPhone that is Icloud locked and I want to change the motherboard to remove that would my old motherboard have to go in the same colored iPhone or would I also have to transfer my Sim tray with it. does it really matter?
It will accept any colour as long as you are fine with that change.

So all I need is a logic board and the front camera? to remove iCloud.
That’s right.
Only logic board has all the information saved in it. Once you replace that you have new phone with a new IMEI number.

@@avinashnayak3977 yes, if you replace the motherboard, it will work as a new phone. By the way unavailable is also fixable as long as you have Apple ID and password.

If i put non locked motherboard to phone with locked icloud, do i need to swap anything else? And will it work properly....?
You don’t need to swap anything else other than motherboard. The only thing will not work is your Face ID. Other than that everything else will work for sure.

If the cameras of other phones are in working condition, then you don’t need to change the rear one but from cameras has Face ID. That must be changed. Hope it clarifies everything.
