Nanluoguxiang is the most popular and one of the oldest Hutongs in Beijing with a history of more than 740 years. It looks like a fish bone with a 787m main street (Nanluoguxiang) in the middle and 8 smaller Hutongs on both sides. Here is not only a paradise for foodies and people with curiosity, but also a good place to appreciate Beijing traditional quadrangle courtyard.

Really good to see this hutong again. I used to live not too far from here in a different hutong near Jingshan park. It was about a 20 minute walk to get there. I sometimes went for a walk there. With the shops and food places there was always a good vibe amid crowds of people. It's near the metro (Subway) station of the same name on lines 6 and 8. I sometimes walked to the station to take line 6 to Dongdaqiao to go to work instead of taking the bus. I used to work in the Soho beside The Place. I really miss Beijing!
