Hi MM, lots of research behind the scenes. Nice logical diagnosis. You have the expertise to pull that module apart, that most workshops would not attempt. Well done. Thx for the video.
Hey Nigel, Dry solder joints aren't too hard to deal with - depending on their location. Fortunately, in this case, it was only the main connector. That being said, you do need a level of skill/confidence when you are dealing with a customers' ECU that could be worth a lot of money. Start small with things that don't matter, broken down components etc. Thanks for your comments MiracleMAX
great video Mate . i have been with hard time to find wiring diagram for this brand . can you direct me for any free website for wiring diagram thanks mate . have you see any security flashing when you was cranking ?
Hey Nidal Alrifai, Here is one example of a manual online. www.allcarmanuals.com/factory-service-manual-104-Mitsubishi-Triton-L200.html I just put in 'mn triton service manual free'. That should give you a direction. The security light should be off when cranking.
Good job, Mark! Sometimes just resetting the connectors can fix a problem. I had to fill the water up on my car battery and charge it up. It is 4 years old so I probably need to buy a new one.
Unfortunately just like most things, batteries don't last like they used to. It was good that it was only the main connector into the ETACS that needed resoldering - an easy task.
