Making a walking stick out of a fallen ash branch

My grandfather said that he didn't want a cane, but he would use a walking stick, so I poked around the back yard for a suitable wood branch to make something interesting for him. I found this piece of Ash that had fallen 1.5 years ago. I added a leather grip, leather tip reinforcement and a grippy rubber foot.

Ash with a fruit wood stain finish looks really nice as a walking stick giving it an aged patina.
