I absolutely LOVE seeing antique equipment like this still up and running. Much better than todays throw away garbage. Granted it's way before my time since I'm only 31 lol , but I'm definitely a old soul. I like taking something old and making it work again. I remember at 10 years old collecting old weed eats, saws, and mowers. I usually got them up and running again 😁. My mother came out to check on me one day and she said " you've got a grave yard out here don't you son? " I replied " most of them run mom !!! " She chuckled and said " well it's better than drugs, have at it !!! "
We had that saw when I was growing up. Temperamental, slow, and heavy were the kindest words describing it. Lugging it around was a good way to rupture yourself.
My dad had a big one when i was a kid. He bought it in early 60s and it was over 300$ then in 1960s $. I use to carry it n hold the measure stick on the log for him. It had a 36 inch bar so it was a biggin.
Love this video, pioneer my favorite saws, I don't have that one yet, but I have 3 of the vintage 600-620 series and the p26, and the 1100, but this video reminds me of the first time I started my saw,in the 90s, good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌 cutting
I have 3 of the 600 series and 1 26 p and the 1100series, but I don't have that one, yet, pioneer my favorite saws love it ❤️❤️ super nice 👍👍👍, that one sounds like a motorcycle engine, just like mine love it ❤️❤️ super nice 👍👍, and that color, I'll take it over Sthil, and I love Sthil and Husqvarna and echo, but pioneer my favorite saws
Wow, nice collection! This thing is such a beast, I just love it! Nothing like the old stuff. Will be taking it out this weekend for a workout 💪🍻 thank you for the comment 👍
They are an eye catcher for sure! I scored a complete 1959 pioneer 600 last year off of craigslist for$20 bucks! Every guy that sees it in my collection of 60+ saws picks it out to drool over it. And I have to hear them beg me to turn loose of it for twice what I paid for it😆 I inform them that you can't just find these bad boys just anywhere! I named him Boughagard, The heaviest 26 pounds I have ever picked up! They don't make em like they used too, And you sure as hell would have a hard time finding the man with enough intestinal fortitude to be able to pack the damn thing around all day in the woods!😤
Those cork gaskets were common up until the 70's, to me the loop at the bottom is to hold the saw upright and the texture in the back does look like its designed to grip your foot, beautiful example you have there buddy.
I like the sound of pioneer chainsaw
One of the Best saw that I ever owned was a Pioneer ! You couldn’t kill it !

A sweet vintage barn find for sure, and definately cool!
I'm easily amused it seems LOL. Yeah that was a great find! Just going to give it a tune-up here over the weekend and see how it goes
Listen to that purr!
You could hear it now after the Little tune up, it sounds beautiful and definitely loud 🍻
Sweet ol pioneer 👍🏻🤘🏻🪓

Haha, yup. its a bit of a hog that's for sure 😁
Definitely much better than today’s chainsaws people buy from Home Depot, Lowe’s or any home improvement store.
I HAVE TO FIND ONE ONE DAY
Built to last.
I never knew that chainsaw would date back at such old times
Exactly, who knew they went back that far. This thing is pretty archaic too, very heavy compared to today's chainsaws that's for sure.

Good Tools 🛠🍻

the music opening there in the beginning reminds of texas chainsaw massacre
