  • Rode the Roll Call route from Rockgeist.com with a few frens, only this time took the Omnium Cargo instead of my hardtail. Limbs were bruised, bones were rattled, and fun was had. Also ice cold beers at camp are a nice bonus on a bikepacking trip!

I'm building up a mini-max wifi in a very similar way mate! Shimano 12 speed, Hope front to back, Onyx Rear Hub, Son front dynamo. Any tips or recommendations after building yours? What ring are you running up front? 30, 32?

Dope! I started with a 38t and it was nice having the extra speed unloaded, but once I had weight on there, it got shitty on the steep inclines, so I snagged a 34t which has been perfect for the hills. The bike is pretty near perfect, the only major thing I had to do was drill a hole on the seat tube to run the Bike Yoke SL dropper post internally!

@@ArchHarley tubeless! schwalbe makes the rocket ron in 20x2.25 tubeless and it's been a great front for dirt surfaces.

So jelly. I'm considering getting a MiniMax primarily for transporting dogge, but also adventures like this. Did you get the WiFi model? There's a fair price difference, but running wider on the front will mean a smoother ride for the dog (I guess). I've had longjohns in the past, but not this style of cargobike. Do you think riding a dog (15kg or so) around works on this style bike, and do you think there is much difference in the wifi/classic?

Nice! Yeah it's the WiFi. I had a Larry vs Harry Bullitt for a few years before this one, and my company had the classic Omnium (former bike courier). The only reason I went Omniu for personal bike was they released the WiFi with thru-axles, clearance for 2.25's and that they had a titanium version. Dogge should be totally fine, but would highly recommend wider/higher volume especially if tryna ride dirt roads/gravel/singletrack loaded!

Oh man, that's fucking great. Awesome idea. Did you just purchase the bike online from Omnium and have it shipped? Looks like they're mostly out of stock right now.

Thanks! Yeah, had to stay on top of ETA's on the framesets then ordered before they were gone. They do a good job of letting folks know when they can expect new stock!
