Brompton would be too easy 😉 I'd say Strida. Strida would give you more excitement on those rocky landslides. 16 inch one with composite wheels of course. But seriously, Omnium is a really impressive bike. Looks like getting nice, light, titanium build could replace all your bikes and a car at the same time. At least for someone being minimalist.
This is something truly special. Well done for capturing the human challenge and spirit in such vivid color. Beautiful work, and obviously huge respect for the achievement!
Great endeavor and footage! But let's not kid ourselves with the 1:36 "taking a cargo bike to this part of the world". The developing world is full with cargo bikes already 🙂
would you have considered another Endurance Run on the Omnium 'MINI'?? The V3 ...seemed to look Heavy Walking it Up Hills With such a Long wheelbase??.....the Mini i assume would Be 'lighter & more Capable on staying on the 'saddle Going up Hills!! Just a thought...Cheers Great Run Sir!
What an excellent effort. At least you could load up the cargo bike with goodies. Looking at the terrain I'd go for a fat bike.... with full sus... And a motor 😂 Bravo Sir, grand effort 👏👏👏
Try living around a bunch of lives that are very sedentary; my hometown is San Diego, CA. In my spare time I rode my road and mountain bikes. I had family issues arising more so in 2016 and I had to take a break from cycling. After I finished caring for my father from 2018-2021, I was moved to Las Vegas Nevada. The locals here are completely different from Californians. Changes have been here the last three years? I learned how much of an A-hole some people are 2) Learned about cleaner ingredients to better nutrition through foods; my types of food consumption has changed since 2/2024, 3) Excited about being surrounded by more natural landscapes as well as connecting state neighbors around Nevada in order to do a Bike Tour soon. 4) Have come to be more aware of Christ's teachings and rely strictly on HIM for everything. One last thing I learned; All that I went through from my past? I still know it has been the adversary making the effort to squash my dreams and potential in continuing to move forward and grow in life.
Great little film, enjoyed following the race and Allan. Question, did you lose your cleats at some point? There's a shot of you sitting next to another rider with no cleat in your shoe...
Love the Story Amazing !! But for gods sake can we please stop putting Stickers all over everything ...its a form of pollution both environmental and visual. ....And i mean everyone please JUST STOP!!!! I would love to look at this beautiful gate as you called it without a Stickesr stuck to it....its a real bummer!!!
Pretty sure he said something about silk road on a Brompton at the end.😂
On an Eerder Metaal Explorer no problem ;-)

Oh! Such an amazing story! Thanks for sharing Allan! I’ve wanted an Omnium for a long time, and this has done nothing - NOTHING to dissuade me.
I think I've seen all the movies about silkroad, AMR etc. This is the best! Mostly because Allan is the best. Big love!
Love it! We are adding it to our "long distance cycling stories" collection.
He'll do the next Silkroad on a Brompton, with the 20 inch wheel conversion kit. Go for it!
Cannot believe so many crazy riders for this sick grueling ultra marathon cycle.Great vlog thx
What a unique choice. Love your story of this epic event. I'd like to do it on my 30 year titanium hardtail mtb.
What a lovely little film. Sad about the missing gopro footage but oh well, still a story well told.
Great vid and what awesome adventure. Gotta love the attitude and hope theres a few more challenges planned!
wow, what an effort and what a great film from an inspiring rider and team.

Powerful experience, powerful story from second number 1
Awesome man, congrats. Next year do it on a Tandem! Not sure if it’s been done, but that would be sweet.
What a wonderful video, and such positive energy. Brilliant.
Amazing video! very inspiring
Finally! So cool! What is the effective head tube angle? Must be less than the grim donut!
Great endeavor and footage! But let's not kid ourselves with the 1:36 "taking a cargo bike to this part of the world". The developing world is full with cargo bikes already 🙂
I KNEW there was a better way to carry my snacks around these ultras!
Allan is such an inspiring human ❤

I can't believe that some little git stole his GoPro! What the hell!?

Incredible ride, thanks for sharing.
Silk road on a tandem! Do it!

What do you mean by "it was taken from his bike at a resupply stop"?
Proud to ride an Omnium every day.
qui a demandé
This is a very good video

Great effort, made it look too easy. Take a penny farthing next time.
Pennyfarthing next time?
Respect for finishing SRMR but to use a cargo bike over a mtb doesn't make any sense, other than seeking attention

it shouldnt be normalised to pudh through knee pain. that shit can fuck you up
if anything, it was "extremised" rather than normalized. I get your point but everyone has to decide their own limits.
Agreed
Too much tattoos
Very annoying film but okey... Nice bike...
