Being Mexican, my heart says Canelo but my brain says GGG. What has irritated me is that Canelo walks around at 170 lbs. Canelo always is visibly larger than his catch-weight opponents. Im curious to see if camelo's shot can effect GGG who arguably has the best chin in the sport. GGG demonstrated his brilliance in the ring agains Lemieux and I believe the jab will be the deciding factor. Canelo is simply not the ducking type. If you want to blame anyone, it's golden boy. I don't expect a KO on both sides but I expect the jab and the better chin will determine the victor.

FAHKK we'll see, but I'm expecting you to be wrong on both accounts. GGG is not someone easy to "outbox" and Canelo is not the sort of fighter you can easily knock out with one shot.

Canelo will give him good rounds, he just cannot pass GGG skills. Early rounds , GGG loves to check out foes mistakes before he goes for the kill. GGG is smart, and is never stupid at all times and places. He can focus well in this sport! He was born to fight, and gives NO dull moment to a crowd. SoldierDemps Let's put it into perspective. I clearly give Canelo the advantage with hand speed by a long shot. Let me use an analogy for you, a gym one. When you are at the gym. Let's say you're curling some 40 pound dumbbells. And it's easy for you. You're keeping a fast pace but then you start to fatigue. Let's add someone hitting your biceps as you curl. How fast can you curl those dumbbells then? Not very fast. You will slow down drastically. My point is, yes, Canelo has fast hands but they won't remain that way. GGG puts on too much pressure and his body shots will slow down Canelo and his so called power. We all know Canelo is a slow flat footed fighter and GGG cuts off the ring better than anyone else in the sport. Canelo won't be able to get away and I see him fatiguing after the 7th for sure.

A lot of Canelo's wins were by UD against MUCH WEAKER fighters, while GGG had a few UD with 89% KO/TKO. Yes GGG last fight was UD, but compare that with a lot more of canelo's wins by UD.

I see it ending 2 ways... GGG win by TKO within 10 rounds or GGG split decision.
Golovkin will fight similar to how he fought against Lemieux, starting slow and establishing range and power with jabs, but will be cautious of Canelo's power too.
GGG will begin to back canelo onto the ropes within the next few rounds, throwing hooks to the body as Canelo maintains a high guard. He will then switch up his attack and go from the body to the head hurting canelo but not enough to stop him. Saved by the bell.
Canelo has a habit of taking a whole round as a rest. He cannot afford to do this against golovkin as he positions himself so that he blocks his opponents escape, and will force you up against the ropes where he will unleash his power shots.
Canelo has a good chin and is a hard fighter to stop, so I see the referee having to interfere if the fight becomes one-sided.
We have to remember that golovkin's last opponent was the physically bigger man, and inflated in weight to around 180 pounds which was a huge difference in comparison to triple g's. And still, GGG managed to score a knockdown.
I have nothing against Canelo but I just think GGG's power will be too much for him, and GGG's background and experience will prove to be superior.
AEG I think it will be risky for canelo to rest even for a round cause GGG can end canelo if he rest. Taking a one solid punch from GGG is too risky. I watched some videos telling that GGG spar with much bigger guys than him because smaller guys cant handle the power. If GGG manage to lands body shots to canelo most of the time then canelo will have problems moving out of danger cause canelo was a flat footed fighter though he got a handspeed.

Go watch a video on GGGs defense that actually breaks it down. Lots of deflecting with his shoulder and elbows and nullifies lots of punches with his gloves. Statistics and the numbers game will play a huge part in this fight in GGGs favor. 89% KO ratio. That means Canelo has an 89% chance to be KO'd. As much as you want to argue that it is what it is. Numbers don't lie. Canelo's KO ratio (67%) on the other hand is beyond pathetic, considering he fights guys much smaller than him and is made it out be a "big" puncher. Bull shit. LoL, Watch the fight again, Who was the whole night on the backfoot and speculated to have the judges on his side in his hometown? Golovkin fought in the USA,Great Britain, Germany, Monaco, Danemark, Panama, Ukraine, Russia,Kaszakhstan...he is never looking for a strategic win on scorecards.
how's that fight bad? he outscored jacobs , played more like in amateur boxing rather than pro's , also he droped him once, fucked up his face and was puting pressure all night, he won like 8-9 rounds. first i thought it was close until i watched the 2nd time and watched youtube video punch by punch. GGG easy win, just because the image of a killer was destroyed people seem to say he didn't have a good perforamance, just lol, look at Canelo, he couldn't even finish Chavez who was like a punching bag in his fight :D
But Canelo is still way better than Jacobs. GGG looked slower than on his past fights. Once he knocked down Jacobs he should have gone all out like he used to do, but he seemed afraid of being hit. And I'm afraid it will be the same against Canelo and I expect a lot more from him.
And about Chavez Jr, it seems that Canelo didn't want to KO him, not that he could not
R J most jacobs punches landed on the gloves, look up youtube video where a guy scores clean shots, almost all of jacobs landed on gloves or hands while GGG jab landed all night, also that knockdown and some right hands, uppercuts. sure jacobs landed some, but most of the shots he did were not clean. :) There's 2 or 3 different people showing it clear, i thought it was close until i've seen the fight 2nd time and watched that video slow MO with punches counted. :)

Relp Very true he took alot of damage in the Danny fight and Canelo has better defense then GGG I love GGG and Canelo but it's a 50/50 with this fight ..I've noticed when GGG gets clean hits in he receives damage as well ...Canelo slips punches better and is a great counter puncher when he lands cleanly ..also Canelo throws more combination punches that land cleanly.

Good thing you don't bet fights for a living. I've been betting fights since the early 1970's and I don't think there's anyone on planet Earth that has a better win loss percentage than me.
