I'm 39 and just realised my eyelids are drooping. I was horrified and thought I'd never be able to do winged eyeliner again but your videos have given me hope. So many "mature skin" videos show women botoxed to death so it's not relatable. So thank you for the realness and the help! Xx And I love your glasses! Thank you!
You have become such a great mentor on how to look fantastic with aging skin, addressing the reality of droops, & tone loss all around is not something western culture teaches well. Like you, also a huge fan of k-skin care & it’s skin maintenance process(I wish they had taught our gen about that vs. covering it all up!) I earned every like, dark spot etc. occasionally I will think of facelift? 🤔 but I don’t like that look or the risks, i just want to age gracefully & adjust my skin care needs/ makeup while I do it so I don’t look like I’m Stuck in the 80’s with some lady with wild blue eyeshadow & a blush streak, raccoon eyeliner or clown lips. You’re helping with that’s unfortunate that ageism is alive & we’ll & products just focus on “look young”.. I am not. It’s like saying look skinny & wear clothes that don’t compliment your figure. It’s ridiculous. So Thank-you!!🙏💝
I love the look of this concealer and definitely think it would be a worthwhile investment considering the amount of money I've wasted on rubbish concealers over the years! Also, there are few sounds as wonderfully comforting as the snores of a contented dog ❤
100% agree! I just tossed a few concealers - but have a metric ton of them and none are as good as this for aging under eyes. I also LOVE the sound of the gentle snore of a dog.
Thanks! I've noticed sometimes I like something at first, then I try again and it's...meh. Or I try something I don't like and then the next time it's yay!
I also found the cle de peau concealer a little dry. Their lightest shade is also a touch dark for me. Luckily I had a sample and didn't buy a full size. It looks like the tom ford has a better shade range. I'm excited to look for this in store and swatch it.
Thank you for a great review--I'm 54 and find more difficulties with concealer caking/creasing/fading as time goes by, and I agree the CdeP is drying for me as well, which means it cakes and looks bad 6 hours later. I love the Tom Ford foundation stick and a tiny touch as concealer works for me but I will be picking this up.
The under eye seems to one of the biggest challenges to conceal, and wrinkles seem to form there on everyone. That product looks great, your under-eye area looks really smooth.. if I hadn't just bought 3 products, I would rush out and get it straight away!!
I found that a combo of things works for me. First the Colorscience Total Eye 3 in 1, then a hint of foundation, then a bit of Chantecaille Future Skin Gel Foundation in Porcelain. Brightens protects, undetectable. The Tom Ford eyeshadow palette in Body Heat is my gold standard for a polished eye, but I do have to use a matte shadow under it. They last forever. I will need at least three more lifetimes to get through it.
Hi! Thanks for the thorough review. Throughout the video, I asked myself if I had missed the part where you mentioned your (perfect) shade - I rewatched from the beginning once I got to the middle, thinking I had missed it. This concealer seems to be worth the expense so I think I am going to head over to Nordstrom’s tomorrow to get my perfect shade. Thank you for the great demo, wear-test and review.
I have to try this! The Ole Hendrickson vit c eye cream never played well with any corrector or concealer I put over it, so I save it for nighttime. My current HG undereye is the BB corrector with the new Dior Forever concealer that is lightly powdered with the Westman Atelier powder in Bubble. I would love to find an all-in-one concealer to cut down on the steps. So happy you found your new HG!
I have been using the new formula of the Cle de Peau in a jar because since my dad passed my eyes have been so misshaped and puffy from sleeping and crying so I’ve been trying to find a concealer that will work on the ‘new’ condition of my skin. I’m going to buy this tomorrow- what you are describing is very similar to the eye issues I have. Also I am a sunscreen freak, but HATE how my makeup looks- now I am realizing it’s because I am always sunscreeny under my foundation! I have about 25 bottles but I need to find one that plays nicely and start using my powder! I didn’t really start wearing makeup until 41 so I’m still not very good at it! I end up buying too much and then not knowing how to use it. So your channel is always a great inspiration for me.❤
Great video. I have difficulty with concealers--texture, consistency, application, and so on. I have the old CdP concealer and find myself never using it for many of the same reasons others have stated. You were able to get such a nice finish with the TF concealer and the color looked great. Your blouse is so pretty with the tuck/pleat detail and the color is very flattering.
Thank you so much! I have a crush on that particular shade of blue! I love that this concealer almost smoothes everything out and doesn't get crepey looking. They really did a nice job with this.
I find some concealers make my under-eye area look worse, and then I don't use anything. I'm going to look at the TF color choices. Finding an appropriate powder might also help. Yes, that blue is gorgeous! @@TheHoodedLid
It is so satisfying to find a holy grail product. Your thoroughness is greatly appreciated. I may splurge on this. I totally relate to how a sunscreen can ruin a good make up day!!
You and I seem to wear the same shades in products so I did order the concealer in Cream. Like you, ultimately I found the Cle du Peau concealer stick too drying and this Tom Ford product sounds much more hydrating. Like you I find one of my under eyes to be more creased than the other so I'll be setting with powder on the less lined side. Your videos are the bomb Kiki!
I thought your eye makeup looked great, and the concealer looks really good too! i used your link, I needed a concealer so I’m going to check it out. Thanks for the great video!
Tom Ford has some great complexion products honestly - the formulas and colors too. I remember swatching a shade in the soft matte foundation that really captured the medium-tan cool blue/olive undertone I see in South Asian women a lot (as opposed to golden/yellow olive) but have never seen in a base product. When I looked it up later, the model was that exact type of skin coloring I was envisioning! Have you tried their stick foundation? That one gets rave reviews.
I haven't tried their stick. I've looked at their foundations but did see a color that would work for me (I think I used one of those bubble packs with several shades in it - lol)
Great review. How does it compare to the new Chanel concealer, Chanel complexion touch and the Cle Du Peau concealer? The blue top looks great on you. Your skin is really bright and healthy looking today. Thanks for reviewing.
I haven't tried the Chanel concealers. The Cle de Peau I mentioned in the review. As I said in the video, I don't have the re-formulated CdP, but I found the original made my under eyes look dehydrated.

@@TheHoodedLid ya I rewatched:) well the good thing is there is a guide on the Nordstrom sight that tells you what color to get based off of the foundation color you wear and I would have been way off if I would have bought cream 🤷🏻♀️ lol hopefully it’s accurate. Thank you! I used your link 😁
Hi If the colour and texture is the same as foundation ?Why use it and not use foundation ?Just interested to know MImi
I'm not sure this is the same as the foundation.
Any thoughts on how this concealer would look on top of the Becca color corrector?
Really can't say. I haven't used that in many years.
@@TheHoodedLid ok thought that might be the case because you don’t have darkness under your eyes. Lucky lady!
Hi...maybe I missed it...but what shade did you get in the Tom Ford concealer? Thanks
I got it at the end🤦♀️
it's also listed in the description box
Does the TF concealer have a fragrance? I have had to return a few products because they were so strongly fragranced.
No, it doesn't have a fragrance.
@@TheHoodedLid Terrific! Thanks!
$60 is a lot for a concealer for me, but Do you think it is worth it? Also, my under eyes are oily. Would this work well for me?
Yes! I love this - it looks so darn good. My under eyes are a problem that's not going to go away and I don't think I've tried something like looks so good, is so easy to work with and stays looking nice all day.
I like your tips. But I think its funny that you wore your top inside out. Thats ok.
I suppose it's possible she's wearing it inside out, but much more likely that's the way it's made. I've seen many tops and even own a couple myself that have this appearance.
Thank you!
I also watch an English post called Sugar Puff and Fluff...and she has the occasional botox in the crowsfeet in the corners of her eyes, and she believes it has helped the sagging hooded eyelids...it does look a bit better, so she might be right, but she's also using a lot more skincare products too... I have thought about trying it myself 👍
