  • A customer's Yaskawa VFD failed due to geckos getting inside. In this video we troubleshoot the drive and swap it out for a new, better sealed replacement. We also notice and repair a small leak out at the well head. #electrician #troubleshooting #electrical #plumbing #gecko

Thank you for your videos. That blue PVC cement is not allowed on our trucks either.👍

Good content. Did you have to transfer any parameters to the new VFD?

Thanks! The parameters had to be manually set on the new unit.

I died laughing at that AC disconnect fighting you back when you went to put the blade back in. Its not because you look foolish, its because those bastards do that every time. I hate them so much. I know how much more expensive a knife blade is but still worth it to me.
On the plumbing side of things, youll have to excuse me, im a nyc electrician i dont see a lot of PVC. When i do its always purple primer/ clear glue what is it about this blue primer? Also why transition from what looked like brass to pvc instread of gal or cast? I get that different places do it different ways and there more cost involved in metal plumbing vs pvc and at the end of the day that usually sells the job. Is cost the only reason or is there an advantage to pvc?

Thanks! The colored primers just look worse to me than clear primer. It's too corrosive and expensive here for cast or galvanized pipe. On larger jobs it is common but usually it's either PVC or SS if it's outside.
As long as PVC is out of the sun it works just fine.
      Thanks for watching!
